Totally but you know what's kind of said is that today lots of people still think puppets are for kids. And I think if The Muppets came back with a new Muppet show like Muppets Tonight, has a bit of an edge, risky, irreverent humor The Muppets have always had since the Sam & Friends days. That...
Yeah I've noticed that too. Especially the Pumpkin Anything Muppet, he has more of a wider open mouth now.
I'm not sure why The Jim Henson Company can't be involved anymore, besides they were the ones that created and build The Muppets.
I remember someone on the forum once said that it's...
I can certainly say that Jim was probably the first to present adult puppetry to the mainstream. At the time of The Muppet Show's first season, there was a rather risky puppet movie that was, let's say it went beyond NC-17. I won't name it but I just wanted to point out that it wasn't a success...
Though some episodes from Season 4 and 5 did end up on the Time Life Best of The Muppet Show releases, and that's official, but not all of them though.
It seemed like the characters basically finalized in the final two seasons. Though I think season 3 is when everything was falling into place, and the characters finally evolved. Plus also I think that the Muppet crew filmed one half of The Muppet Show, then The Muppet Movie and then the rest of...
4 and 5 didn't come out officially just let. I think some members have taped off of TV recordings when the episodes reran either on Nickelodeon, Ossney (forgot the channel's name) Channel, or the UK Disney Channel.
Sorry, my last formal sentence didn't come out the way I wanted it too, I wrote it around 2am lol I basically meant the only reason why I wanted to ask was to learn more about this history of all this, and nothing beyond that.
I'm just curious in terms of how Jim got his agent Bernie Brillstine because now a days it's so hard to get an agent in the industry because you would need a referral, union, all this formal mombo-jumbo. So I'm just curious if someone meet Jim and referred him to Bernie? I don't remember reading...
I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, I don't remember reading much about it but I seriously want to know if it's okay with the forum. Why isn't The Jim Henson Company involved with The Muppets anymore? And why Puppet Heap instead of The Muppet Workshop. All I've heard about this and...
Anyone seen the new Superjail? In the Pirate Radio, they spoofed Sesame. They had a hand puppet presenting the number 2 and then the Androgynous Twins (probably my favorite characters next to the Warden) join in in an Electric Company sort of parody. And their Number 2 song parody is played for...
Just curious what you found childish in Season 1. And I believe it was Season 1 that was 100% CGI backgrounds, Season 2 mainly had a set and did the CGI stuff in short stories hat were seen in Cat's telescope.
I recently watched the JaLoo music video and Good Morning America apperance and I just couldn't watch the full videos. lol Sorry but I just didn't like it. Afterwords, I needed to watch my kind of Muppets. The classics. And this clip came to my mind and I'm glad it did.
I miss how The...
Seasons 4 and 5 are amazing :) I'm sure we all are going to be super happy when the DVD sets come out and Disney is done clearing all the copyrighted songs and whatnot. I think that's why The Muppet Show is taking awhile to get onto DVD, Spitting Image is basically the same situation. It's crazy...
Same here, Does blu-ray have a zoom in effect on it? I'd just love to go find the SNL Land of Gorch Muppets in the crowd at the end. I think Ploopis, Scred, Pluda, Wiss and Vash are in it but not Mighty Favog. Perhaps we went with The Beatles since I think he said in one episode he knew them...
