I just found out Mr. Rogers passing about 20 minutes ago and... words just aren't enough.
He was someone who truly was a hero of mine demonstrating what it truly meant to "love thy neighbor as thyself".
There was a Nightline special that aired not too long ago that perfectly demonstrated...
You ought to check out Jerry Nelson's version of the song on The Count Counts LP. Although it's not quite the same as the original broadcast version, Jerry's is still pretty fun. In fact, that entire album has some pretty nifty reinterpretations of many of the songs from the animated shorts of...
I'm not quite sure if it really matters how old they are. The wonderful thing about the muppets, regardless of age, is that they're not really limited to reality. I suppose one could ask the question "How does Ernie take Bert's nose off, is it a prosthetic?" To me, Ernie and Bert have always...
Well...shoot. I missed it. What song(s) did they sing.
I've been a big Paul Simon fan since high school. He's really influenced my singing style (He and Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney). I especially love the way he softly enunciates his consonants at the end of phrase as well as his use...
Re: Sal,
Yeah...you're right, Warrick. I was very annoyed when, after that sketch with Ms. Bullock became popular, that everyone in my theatre company thought the song was entitled "phenomenon". And that became a popular joke amongst many people.
Of course...I knew better and brought...
True...very true.
And this is a new year. The more I think about it the more I think that nothing is for sure. Last year, I thought Moulin Rouge would take home more awards that it did but I was pleasantly surprised the Fellowship of the Ring almost dominated the night.
Well, I guess my feeling that "Ice Age" would win the best picture is based on Shrek's win last year as well as the fact that CG animation has all the attention these days.
I thought it was truly unfortunate that Shrek won last year as I thought Monster's Inc. was far superior in animation...
If there is any sort of justice within the world of artistic merit then "Spirited Away" should definitely win this category.
But alas...Ice Age will probably go home with the award.
*sigh*
Alright...let me get this straight. If I had the desire to tape Unpaved, I would then set my VCR on Sunday night before I went to bed so that the next morning I would wake up and be able to watch what I had taped early that morning.
I'm sorry I'm being obvious but I just want to be sure I...
Hi Everyone,
Congratulations to each and every person (past and present) who has been involved in making this website such a terrific success.
I found Muppet Central back in 1999 while I was at working for Arthur Andersen as an associate multi-media producer. My supervisor and I would...
That's one of the things that I really enjoy about Play With Me Sesame. They often play vintage sketches that you would never be able to catch on the regular street in it current format.
I understand that to be true. Obviously, I'm not as well versed in the show's history as many people on this board, but in my mind it has at least _appeared_ that that was as much a part of the change of the direction as the statistics and studies.
Admittedly, Baby Bear is not my favorite...
I've been thinking about that. I have always seen it from a different perspective. I thought the audience for Sesame Street got younger because of the focus on characters such as Elmo. I may be wrong, but I think there was a definite shift in focus in the early nineties.
I'm not really...
It does, thanks for the info! I was under the false impression that the Toy Story films were a part of the deal.
However, now that I think about it, isn't that part of the dispute that Steve Jobs has with Michael Eisner?
