I don't have any replicas, so I can't really perform the character with a puppet (The closest I have is a plush Kermit I converted to a puppet for Halloween. I went as Undead Henson).
I'm pretty picky about any Muppet I impersonate, but some are easier to me than others (For example, Animal is...
Sorry for the double post and resurrection, I just wanted to bring this thread back since I know we have had some new blood since my last post.
And I can do a few more voices. My Fozzie has gotten better and I can do a few Fraggle guys, mainly Boober, Traveling Matt, Pa Gorg (It's a gruffer...
Excellent work. By the way, when it comes to doing Kermit's voice, mine's a mix of Whitmire and Henson, though I can do Coulier's Baby Kermit flawlessly. To be fair, it's more on the Henson side, but some Whitmire vocalizations are present.
If there's any vocal advice I can give you, it's to be...
Ah yes, one of my comedic idols. Curly and Moe were always my favorites. Moe is such a likable jerk and Curly might as well be the personification of comedy.
I've known about the whatnots, and I've always wanted one, but you're right, the body choices they have are not fraggle friendly. I could probably make a green skinned Beaker if I really wanted a whatnot.
I have a couple of options which have tickled my fancy. The first is a group called Knucklehead Puppets, who PMed me yesterday, so I may employ their services.
The other is the aforementioned friend at my church who can do one. With some luck, maybe I can do both, let them be brothers! :coy:
I just have a curiosity streak going, and I want to know if we have anyone who has ever worked with the Muppets here on Muppet Central.
I think Jerry Nelson is on here, but I want to see if any others are here. If you are, don't be shy, I don't bite. I promise (We need a Baby Sinclair smilie...
Yeah because I saw the Doozer ones on eBay, but the only official Mcd premiums were of the Fraggles (Four, if memory serve me, with Boober and Wembley sharing a car). OF those, the only one I have so far is Gobo. I kinda had a gut feeling the Doozers were just a test market, but I could have...
Jerry, I just want to say something I bet you are tired of hearing, but I'll say it anyway. You, sir, are an inspiration to me in the world of puppeteering. I adore every character you've performed (Mainly Gobo, The Trash Heap, Mr. Johnson and The Count of Sesame Street, and how can I forget...
Well, what I think I did wrong was the 3-point turn (They said I almost demolished the cones they set out for it) and something else on the road part. I still think I did terrible. :boo:
Anyone have any experiences to tell?
Me personally, I am a failure at driving. I just got back from my test and needless to say, I stunk on ice. :(
Makes me wonder how I can walk.
Anyway, beating oneself up aside, what about you guys?
Me-So did you guys get what you wanted?
Wembley-You bet.
Mokey-I did. I just love this stationary.
Cantus-And I am fond of the gift card I got for Musician's Friend.
Me-Great. I am too. Now who's up for getting ready for new years?
I've never seen Horton before, but I am kinda on the fence for that one. I'm all for retellings, but remakes is where I draw the line. That's one thing I seem to have a bias over, but that's a topic more suited for the Fraggle movie thread.
Back to Cars 2, the first one was good, but like I...
Yeah, not every traditionally animated feature is gold. Remember Cartoon All-stars to the Rescue? It's in the so bad it's good territory, but most people hated it.
You mentioned Blue Sky. They were the Ice Age guys, right? They're pretty solid, but to the guys who did Space Chimps or Fly Me to...
Hey all. I'm looking for someone out there who is a puppet maker who takes requests. Call me a copy cat, but I am looking for a Fraggle-style puppet, not a copy of one of the characters.
I'd do one myself, but a lot of the materials are hard to come by where I'm at. Plus my sewing skills are...
The 3rd one was just the weakest, the way I see it. I liked a lot of bits, like the princesses or the bad guys trying to get their happy ending, but it just felt a little shorter when I saw it in theaters. I can't really put my finger on it, I just left the movie house feeling a little...
