Good idea, pretty poor execution. The Doozers themselves, namely The Architect, would not approve of this. :busy:
It's nice that FR is getting a resurgence of sorts merchandise wise, given it's "revival" on The Hub, the appearances Karen Prell and Red are doing the past few years, and who knows...
For the Sonic situation, I always managed to find something I liked in every incarnation, be it Long John Baldry's scenery chewing performance as Robotnik in AoSTH (My personal favorite representation of the character next to satAM's rotten to the core persona), the serious storyline of satAM...
Now that I have The Hub, I'd like to say my opinion on their treatment of the Fraggles and the channel itself.
I'll start with the channel itself. Overall, it's not bad, though they seem to love commercials, mainly for toys owned by Hasbro (One game show is essentially a 30 minute commercial...
I know I'm late, but I just want to say I took the geeky approach and played a chime sound on my keyboard (Synth, not typing keyboard) while I played the Bells episode as loud as I could without busting any speakers.
I guess we could say we're all unofficial fraggles inside silly creature...
I guess I didn't look hard enough, I would have picked them up in a heart beat. I would have gotten a clock, but apparently some were broken with some MIA Doozers that were supposed to be on the clock's hands.
I never knew they made Fraggle shot glasses. I knew there was a wall clock and Snuggie at Spencer's but I never saw the glasses. (For the record, I don't drink either, but I like shot glasses due to their novelty)
Looking back, I'm a decent driver, but I'm amazed at the loons who do get a license and drive like crazy. I'm not perfect, and I'm convinced the DMV is the closest to 7734 on earth, what with perfectionist examiners and long waiting times for the most mundane tasks.
I figured I should post one of my parody lyrics here on MC, since this one is an homage to the world's most famous street, set to John Mellencamp's classic, Jack and Diane. Read it and weep.
Little ditty about Sesame Street
On TV ‘bout 40 years, that’s quite a feat
Big Bird was the show’s 7...
Me-How about a little Rush?
Cantus-Alright, let's do this. (Starts out playing the synth part of "Subdivisions" by Rush)
Me-(Starts up the drum machine and begins the guitar part)
Cantus-I guess I'll sing too.
Me-Whatever floats your boat, bro.
Cantus-Sprawling on the fringes of the city
In...
Me and Cantus continued playing, soloing off each other occasionally.
I was tickling the strings while Cantus blew his heart out and the drum machine continued with a monotonous, yet oblong beat.
Cantus-I never knew you were this musically gifted. (Continues playing)
Me-Guitar playing's always been my thing.
Cantus-I may have to make you an honorary Minstrel. You kind of remind me of Murray, my normal guitarist.
Me-Is that so?
I always knew Kermit never had any foam in the head (Maybe in the mouth, but not any making his head shape), since my first puppet was very Kermit-esque in design. Plus that's how he can do that scrunched up "Sheesh" face.
Wembley-Well, one thing we did was we all rang bells as hard as we could while Cantus lead us in some traditional Festival songs. Even though we're away from Fraggle Rock, the great bell can still hear us ring our hearts out. Then of course there's the tradition of giving off a new thing someone...
