Hate to be a Pessimised, but if you have never worked with the materials before, or done any kind of Moldmaking or Casting then you may have bitten off more than you can chew.

might i suggest , taking your time with the eye focus, it is normally the last thing we do when building a puppet , but it is really the most important step.
use some doubel stick tape, pins to line up the focus , then glue the eyes on, its those little things that make all the efort worth while.
i work at a Marrionette theatre in Brooklyn(well im sort of an Artist in Residnce now, i dont perfomr ona regular bases any more,but have built marriontettes for some of our prodcutions, they are chalenging but are a wonderful style to play with, as with all puppets the limitaions only open up...

you can buy smaller wigs , the use for children with Cancer, or regular wigs, but you will have alter it to fit your puppet, you can carefully cut out sections of the back of the wig , and stitch it back up so that it fits your puppet.
I strongly Disagree, Heavy wieght Styrene, is going to be much more durable than Polymer clay , Polymer clay is fine for certain aspects of puppet construction, Teethm speciual shaped eyes, noses, but a thin delicate structure like the rims and stems of glasses will be quite delicate, even if...
