CTS Toronto's Muppet Show TV Listings

Hi, During the last month I took on the self-assigned idea of posting the TV listings for TMS broadacasts on the CTS channel in Toronto/Burlington (Cable 9/Channel 36). I've obtained these lists from visiting a couple of Web sites (e.g. the CTS site). Most of the time they've proven to be...

    Losing our great stars...

Lucille Ball died on April 26, 1989, a year and three weeks before Henson and Davis.

New Columbia Muppet Show DVD arrives on Dec. 9

It's good to hear this piece of news. It would be even better if Columbia/Tri-Star could release were to release ALL five seasons of TMS on five box sets. Are there any long-term plans for this in the future? I'm taping all the episodes on CTS in Toronto right now, but it would be better to have...

    Muppets Coming Soon to CTS

CTS Muppet Show TV Guide, Sept. 22-26 Glad you appreciated my posting of CTS' TMS guide last week. Here are the listings of episodes for next week: Sept. 22 - Vincent Price 23 - Twiggy 24 - Phyllis Diller 25 - Ethel Merman 26 - Connie Stevens These...

The Muppet Show airs daily in Toronto starting September 1st

Yes, that was the UK skit that was only partially shown on CTS' broadcast last night. It's a shame that they're cutting out most of the UK skits for commercial space. I don't know what else happened in that skit, because I don't recall seeing it before. Probably not much.

John Ritter and Johnny Cash die

Madeline Kahn died of ovarian cancer. Her illness wasn't written into the character she played on "Cosby" (the TV show she was on at the time), but it was obvious that she wasn't in good health. After she died the Cosby cast got out of their characters to do a tribute show for her, featuring...

    Worst TMS guest stars

It didn't air! Tonight was supposed to be the night for that infamous Bruce Forsyth episode! CTS instead showed the one with Marisa Berensen (she was very dull, quite frankly). Maybe Forsyth's ep. will show up another day. When it airs on CTS I'll let you know.

    The Henson Christmas

Thanks for sending this article. I never saw this SS special. Judging from the synopsis, I can see why it didn't air more than once. It sounds so WEIRD! But now I want to see it just to get some cheap laughs, and for kitsch sake! :p

Isn't that the same as PBS' "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street"?

John Ritter and Johnny Cash die

That was a good article on Johnny Cash. I was fortunate to have seen him perform live once, in Cleveland, when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened in Sept. 1995. He was part of this all-star concert for the hall's opening. I regrettably never did get a chance to see him perform a concert by...

John Ritter and Johnny Cash die

It was sad to learn of their deaths this morning, but Ritter's was indeed a shocker. I saw him in "Noises Off." It was a good movie, I think you'll like it. I saw him in another movie which wasn't quite as good ("Stay Tuned"), but he was well-suited for it because it gave him a chance to both...

The Muppet Show airs daily in Toronto starting September 1st

Tonight I saw the Florence Henderson ep., and it included Rowlf's "Cottleston Pie" musical number! This is one of my favourite musical moments from TMS, and it's also a UK skit! The skit that was cut from the CTS broadcast was Fozzie's Monologue w/ S&W. Otherwise, I have no complaints because...
