Yeah, around that time, Jim and Frank were getting so involved with branching out into the Muppet Show and the Muppet Movies and Dark Crystal they probably could only donate a shorter amount of time to skit muppets. I guess that's the nature of the beast.

At least all four of the songs you mentioned are available in their original format on commercial VHS. "C is for Cookie", by the way, appears on four tapes.

That city alphabet film, in its original 70's form, does appear on the 1986 VHS "Learning About Letters". It's about the mid-point, where Big Bird is showing a baby honker that letters can be found almost anywhere. That same VHS is due to come out on DVD soon.

I think most of here remember it fondly. This was also one of Jim Henson's animated contributions. I wonder how long it takes to shoot a stop motion film like that. (But I guess since the queen wore a big gown, Henson got away with not having to animate any walking. No legs, you see. ;) )
