You have to be careful with that. Unless it's a designated rest stop, if you park somewhere too long, cops might show up. If you're asleep, they might tap on your window to make sure you're not dead.

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Had a church social today, made a big pot of chili (perfect weather for it). Before the social was over, my pot was completely empty. For a cook, that's the biggest compliment you can get.8)

If it's somebody's birthday, do you turn out the lights, hide behind the couch, wait for them to walk in, hit the lights and yell "COMPRISE!!!"? 8) Or is it just me?

And who can forget Cookie (as the camp cook, he slung a mean hash) and Otto. Even made their way to Sesame Street demonstrating first and last. Mr. Walker, you'll always be first.

    Questions about anything

The last place I worked at, some kids tried this, and one ended up in the Emergency Room. Cinnamon is such a fine powder, it can easily burn your sinuses or close your throat up. Then again, back in the 20's and 30's, college kids thought it was cool swallowing live goldfish.

    Film vs. Theatre

I'm tempted to prefer theater, for some of the reasons mentioned by Snowthy. In a live performance, the actors can pick up on the audience's vibes and make the play sizzle. The spontaneity can carry the performance to new highs. In films, you might do take after take to get the scene perfect...

When you're a diabetic, a spoonful of sugar won't do **** for insulin. PS- don't try a spoonful of cinnamon either. Bad move!

The New Am I The Only One Thread

There was an episode of the Celebrity Apprentice (I can't even remember who was involved) where the teams built Muppet Whatnots, put on skits, and Brian Henson judged them. One of the celebrities really got into it, and even impressed Brian. That takes some doing. So for Six Degrees of...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

It's funny how records from the 70's were getting better all the time. Movies took a little longer to catch on. Earthquake (1974) was one of the first released with Sensurround. Some theaters even were equipped for a quadrophonic mix, with an extra woofer placed on the floor behind the screen...

    Film vs. Theatre

There were several kids that got suspended or expelled for things worse than graffiti. One kid pulled the fire alarm, so the school got evacuated. The fire department was not happy their time was wasted on a false alarm. They found the guilty party. If you pull the fire alarm, you get this blue...

    Film vs. Theatre

Guilty. Even as far back as grade school, the boys' bathroom stalls got every square inch covered in sexual innuendoes, colorful four-letter words, tributes to favorite bands, and names of various teachers on the hate list. Every few months the custodians would give the stalls a new coat of...

The closest puppet shape I'd be would be Don Music. Same long chin, same grayish mop of hair, same glasses (almost). Never banged my head on a piano, but I do fiddle with my beard. 8)

Actually, the green AM with the cone-shaped head has been used for so many of my favorite characters. Again, Old Thunder, methinks a gesture of gratitude is to be duly served upon ye. Perhaps a dram of sherry in glasses held high.
