but why do you think eric did that? because he knew everyone would laugh appreciatively and get a kick out of it- because people know exactly what fox is and why it exists
that's the joke. and everyone got it. there wasn't any backlash to what she said, all the reaction was just like, go piggy!
what are you talking about? my opinion about what? what fox is?
all i've said is what fox is. and everyone KNOWS that, which is why piggy's comment got so much positive and knowing reaction. and obviously that's why eric felt he could have her say that and everyone would laugh and appreciate...
no you didn't declare yourself, but judging by the defensive tone you seem to be taking about fox of all things, i assume you must be a fan of it. i don't know why anyone would defend that network otherwise
what wild accusations are you talking about? fox was set up by roger ailes to promote...
just ONE fact? wow.
please don't tell me you actually watch that network. if you're an actual fan of fox, that kind of ends all hope of rational exchange right there.
i disagree. fox is not a news network, it's a propaganda channel set up by roger ailes to promote conservative causes and should be called out as often as possible. it's a joke and what piggy said was brilliant
and by the way, quality is not determined by how popular something is. the...
oh yeah. i forgot about that. well, that could be it, unfortunately. but i don't really know why they would have the muppets introduce that. unless they have some muppets involved in the number, which would be hilarious (and seems unlikely)
that makes me wonder whether the muppets aren't actually doing some kind of performance after all. given what kermit said about how they're not really presenting an award but introducing something
well, kermit says they're not exactly presenting, they're more like "introducing" something very special....huh. wonder what that means. i would think it was the song performance but since that's not happening, i wonder what it could be
ok, so apparently piggy and kermit are doing interviews with academy president tom sherak today to talk about the oscars, so everyone be on the lookout
obviously they're there for more publicity because no one wants to see tom sherak alone
well, if you add up all the stuff in the show, movies, and specials, kermit and piggy did sing together quite a few times. they had a number of duets on the show, then GMC, MTM, Muppet Family Christmas, MCC, and MTI. and they performed the GMC duet at the oscars in 1982, which was SO cute.
so i...
this makes me so excited to see the rest of the deleted scenes!
i can't wait to get the dvd. btw, what's the biggest difference btw the 3 disc edition and the 2 disc? is is just the soundtrack card?
i wonder if they'll do the red carpet. probably not, i guess it'd be too difficult, technically. unless somebody talks to them behind the scenes or something.
maybe they'll show up on jimmy kimmel's big oscar special he does after the show. i hope we get to see them somewhere other than just...
gonzo and rizzo- i grew up with this pair as well, i love them and really wish rizzo had been in the movie so they could have had a moment together at least
kermit and piggy- it might be boring to say them since they're the most obvious pair, but i really do think jim and frank had SUCH great...
it looks like the movie's not getting released in france now. i wonder why? seems like such a wasted opportunity. the muppets are just as known there as any other european country- they even had a revived muppets tv show there in 2005
i think it could do well in france- at least as well as some...
oh, good. i think the biggest markets outside the UK for this could potentially be france and japan
if you think about it, it's gonna get to 160 million now with ONLY what it ends up with in the UK, since it's doing so well there.
then, let's say, at minimum, it were to make 20 million in...
by the way, i was looking at boxoffice.com, and that was the first place i saw that had the budget listed as being 90 million
we know it was 45, so is that adding in marketing costs or something? or maybe just a mistake? i guess i didn't know how much was spent on marketing, studios usually...
yeah, i agree. they should do holiday specials, that's a great idea!
actually, they play those holiday specials from the 60's on tv every single year, and people always watch them- i think they would TOTALLY watch a muppets Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine's special, etc.
i don't know if...
