i think that whole movie was purposefully attempting to have them be edgy and darker, and i think when they do that it just turns out uneven. i liked some parts of it, but on the whole it didn't feel right the muppets just aren't "dark"

good news! i figured this would happen, given how successful and highly praised this movie was. and esp after an oscar win and all and i'm not that worried, frankly, that jason won't be writing it, because nick and james bobin are still there and they were a big part of the success of this one...

well, i actually thought it was loads better than last year's show, which was dreadful. so i was just relieved about that. and i was happy to see meryl streep win again after almost 30 years, but i do wish kermit and piggy could have said more. but they looked adorable!
