i think that whole movie was purposefully attempting to have them be edgy and darker, and i think when they do that it just turns out uneven. i liked some parts of it, but on the whole it didn't feel right
the muppets just aren't "dark"
rizzo HAS to be in the next one. i wonder if he's in any of the deleted scenes? i'm surprised they didn't give him at least one little scene, like pepe got. rizzo's a fan favorite too
is it maybe not eric OR frank? it does sound awfully weird. i did a double take when i first heard it
i don't blame him for that either. he and jim were such a team for so long, they knew each other's rhythms, etc. it must be strange to have to force that kind of natural rapport with steve, who...
well, it seems like now there's an average of two years btw movies and the sequels, so it might even come out in late 2013. but i guess 2014 is more likely
i hope they do some kind of specials btw now and then. i really think they should do a Halloween one and a Valentine's Day one at some...
oh, i didn't know that. i assumed those were made for the dvd. and yeah, piggy sounded so weird in those clips i saw that i figured it couldn't possibly be frank
but wasn't that steve and eric? that's what i mean, i feel like kermit and fozzie's dynamic was resurrected for the first time in years when eric took over frank's characters
correct me if i'm wrong, but i really don't remember kermit and fozzie having much interaction at all during the whole...
well, assuming this one does well on dvd, i think it could.
i think that crowd of 20 and 30 somethings that showed up for this one and loved it will see another one. the question mark is the kids, really. that was the reason this one had a drop off in spite of such positive reaction. nostalgia...
funny that all the press on this seems to be about jason segel not being involved. i don't think it's cause to panic at all- i think stoller and bobin were just as much (if not more) of the reason why it turned out so good in the first place
i think jason was the driving force behind getting it...
well, i always wondered if frank never developed the right rapport with steve to continue doing things with their characters together. i mean, the whole kermit/fozzie relationship practically disappeared in the 90's, and even kermit and piggy weren't what they used to be
i feel like eric taking...
also, i have a feeling he will likely still be a producer- which means he'll be in on what they're doing with it
i mean, if he would like them to still be doing quality stuff, the easiest way to do it is to maintain producer status. because the level of involvement of producers vary from film...
good news! i figured this would happen, given how successful and highly praised this movie was. and esp after an oscar win and all
and i'm not that worried, frankly, that jason won't be writing it, because nick and james bobin are still there and they were a big part of the success of this one...
well, i actually thought it was loads better than last year's show, which was dreadful. so i was just relieved about that. and i was happy to see meryl streep win again after almost 30 years, but i do wish kermit and piggy could have said more. but they looked adorable!
they were so adorable on the red carpet, lol. well, the 20 seconds we got of them anyway
i wish they could have actually talked to someone, but i guess that's too hard
if the muppets manage to stay relevant in pop culture after this, with more movies, shows and stuff- will they ever do anything drastic with the characters, like say, actually have kermit and piggy get married or something? or would that ruin what they are? i'm just wondering, because they say...
looks like kermit and piggy are going to walk the red carpet! kelly osbourne tweeted a pic of them practicing. they look adorable!
i actually am wondering how they can even do that...where are eric and steve going to be?
ok, so another site has the leaked list of what order the awards are being given out, and they say whatever the muppets are introducing does have something to do with the song category
it says song comes about 90 minutes into the show and look for a muppet surprise there
if they're not...
