That's a good question, but I don't have the answer. The Hollywood Bowl regularly schedules concerts and they are not on TV.
Still, seeing Kermit and Miss Piggy from several hundred feet away in the stands would seem odd, unless the Hollywood Bowl has projection screens set up for the folks.
Found this on the web.

Two things concern me about the Muppets.
1- The writing, which seems to be Jim Lewis. Sure he's been around for a long time, but it's just not the same without Jerry Juhl. Perhaps a new head writer would bring back the writing soul of the Muppets.
2. The Muppet Holding Company's plan to...
Well as good as your intentions were, the way the world is nowadays most businesses won't see anyone without an appointment.
Gone are the days when a teenage Richard Hunt just picked up the phone and called the Muppets if he could audition and was told to come right over and was hired. Or as...
I don't know if anyone else has posted this, but this is pretty neat.

Marty, it's a blessing indeed when someone makes the effort to stop foul language. It's so common in so many families now which is shocking.
Here's something I do (and it has worked for me) when the urge comes to say the 'f ' word, say "fudge" instead.
Instead of trying to suppress the...
The video played for me the first time, but would start and then freeze but the audio continued to the end.
It starts with a few seconds of Tom Arnold, then it switches to Kermit interviewing Linda Grey and Patrick Duffy, then Ted Danson. I could hear Miss Piggy to, but by then the video had...
That's a wonderful story thanks for sharing that. It's amazing that at the end of her life she still found the time (and effort) to send a card.
Totally agree. She was trying to make a difference and trying to create a voice for puppeteers on the set. Kevin Clash once said in an interview...

I don't know much about Eren Ozker, but she did call me up once at home. She was in charge of the Puppeteer Caucus at AFTRA so many years ago. The first question she asked me was “Are you really a puppeteer?” I said ‘Yes.’ She was so relieved. She said she had placed a thousand phone calls...
I remember one song from that show called:
"My Beautiful Caliopasaxaviatrumparimaclarabassatrumpaphone."
It was a song about a musical instrument that was a mix of many other musical instruments.
Here's a website with some of their songs.

The Simple Truth
The Simple Truth is this:
No Muppeteers are going to be replaced.
The Muppet Holding Company has found it's new Occasional Muppeteers that will do Fozzie, Kermit, Miss Piggy and Gonzo. Possible other auditions someday for other characters such as Janice, Floyd, etc...
Frank a sellout? Never.
I think Frank's departure is based on several things, mainly... that Jim is no longer around.
Jim and Frank's relationship was unique between them only.
They were the Abbott and Costello and the Laurel and Hardy of the puppeteering world.
Frank hanged around...
Hi Wes, No I was not there. (Wish I was!) My info is combined from several sources.
I too hope they have another round of auditions someday to try again.
Hello all! The info below I am posting because so many of you good people auditioned and deserve to know more info concerning the final results of the audition.
News has trickled down to my ears that the Hensons/MHC and Disney did a FANTASTIC job preparing those persons that attended the...
