Well, I finally heard Steve's Statler

Re: Reply Piggy's the main singer in "Temptation," so if you had heard the number, you would have certainly heard Richard. Unless what you were saying was "Well, I missed the number, so I didn't hear Frank or Richard." Anyway, sorry you didn't hear it. :sympathy: Better luck next time!

Well, I finally heard Steve's Statler

Re: Rats LOL! Sorry about that. The version on the radio may be just the song, without the opening, so you may not hear Frank anyway. Warrick: I'm sure one can get used to it over time. When I got the tapes, I was keeping an "ear" out for it! I think it's at least as noticeable as Rita...

    Wilkins and Wontkins

Huh?? There were toy puppets made of these characters??? If so, that's awesome! I've never heard this before. Of course, in the Company's current dire financial straits, the original puppets would probably go for about $150-$200...

Oh, wow. That is just TOO cool. That just got added as my wallpaper. :)

    The Great Gonzo the Great

LOL, Scott! That would explain *so* much. :concern: I have no problem with the character changing slightly over time. Keeps them from getting dull. I feel they've deepened Gonzo's character, made him a bit more soulful and poetic. He can now carry the lead role in productions like MCC. I...

    Gonzo's Species

Actually, that was from Great Muppet Caper, not Muppets Take Manhattan. I do find it funny how many times they've referenced Gonzo as an alien. Not only in the Pigs in Space game (very cool, though I've seen it before), but also all the times he's played Darth Nadar, plus the aforementioned...

Watching JHH at the Museum of TV and Radio

Wow. Thanks for all that info, Joggy! I saw all that stuff listed there. I think I know what I'm checking out the next time I'm there. :D

Well, I finally heard Steve's Statler

Daffyfan, only the singing is dubbed over, NOT the talking. That's the point. Piggy's voice switches back and forth from Richard's to Frank's in the same scene! :p That's what makes it a good side-by-side comparison.

Rowlf the dog, Welcome to our forum. I'd recommend that you slightly change your username to avoid confusion, as one of our most regular members goes by the name Rowlf the Dog as well. Calling yourself Rowlf1 or something like that should do the trick. Again, welcome aboard, and thanks...

Well, I finally heard Steve's Statler

People are forgetting the most obvious example: Piggy's "star-making" performance in the Juliet Prowse episode. When she talks, it's live so it's Frank's voice; but the singing was prerecorded by Richard. So she switches back and forth in the same scene!! The Juliet Prowse episode can be...

VERY special guest on tonight's Farscape

Correct. In the second-season episode "Out of Their Minds," the villains of the piece are tall, bird-like creatures without feathers...VERY much like Skeksis. I don't know if these were the same figures slightly redesigned, or if they created entirely new creatures that were somewhat based on...

Who should be the next smiley?

Jamie, I know no more smileys are coming from the sides, but I thought you said the ones along the top would be replaced during the summer. Are we seeing new faces then or are you just encoding the other ones to work up at the top? (Did that sentence make sense? It's late.) :p Brian, to...

Well, I finally heard Steve's Statler

Jerry's doing Statler has nothing to do with his doing Floyd less. All the performers have always been able to handle multiple characters in one production. Jerry's just stepped back from performing as much, for whatever reason, since the mid-90s. The writers work around most of his other...

Watching JHH at the Museum of TV and Radio

Even MORE stuff? Oh, man. I may never leave! :) That's awesome that they have every episode of The Storyteller. Looking back at the list, I saw there were even more episodes of JHH than I realized. The only one I didn't see was Dog City. But you said it's there, so that means EVERY EPISODE...

VERY special guest on tonight's Farscape

I forget which episode it was, but in one of the 3rd season episodes, someone told John an enemy was coming, and he said [this is paraphrased], "All right, who we dealing with? Scarrans? Peacekeepers? Klingons? Skeksis?" Since John is from 20th-century Earth, he can get away with pop-culture...

    Remembering Fred Rogers...

Sorry, Doog. I hadn't heard the part about him being so poor. Still, I respect him even more now for that. And, while I'm sure he had a valid reason (like because it was healthier), I could have lived my entire life without knowing how he jogged in the morning!

Watching JHH at the Museum of TV and Radio

True dat, Luke--they should list their catalog online so you don't waste a trip. I went there to do research for writing a Smallville spec script by watching episodes. They had no Smallville episodes there. I'm glad I got to indulge in some Muppety goodness, but I didn't accomplish what I set...
