Trust me, there was a lot of hesitation. The only thing that is changed is I had to pop his seam in his back. I don't want to cut him up or anything because if it gets messed up, there is NO going back and the seam is covered up by his Sweatervest anyway. But that's why I havn't done anything...
Wow, it did. I know it's subtle, but I think it really improved his look. My original plan was to take some of the stuffing out of his eyes, so they wouldn't jet so far out of his face, but they are sewn on like that. Let me know what you guys think. Does he look better, or am I just seeing it?
Alright, lets see if this works...
Here's the "Before", only shot I have - he was a Christmas gift, and instead of a box or bag, he was just wrapped up in paper. It fit his character so well, I couldn't resist a picture.
And here's a couple after the tweak.
Ouch, some quick calculation tells me that 30 euros is about $38.63. I guess the Muppets Licence and the fact that they are Puppets really adds to the price.
I'd have to agree about the outfits, but the really neat thing is they did a Kermit T-shirt. Really cool since it's got tons of uses, and...
I thought that too, but all of their more recent Licenced characters and "Beary Limited Edition" ones are $23 each. So far all the OTHER releases for February are on the website, either as a product or an announcement but the Muppets are only on the "newsletter" type releases. Interesting, as it...
EDIT: With a little digging, i've found that the (at least in the US) release is set for February 24th, through March 31st. Have not been able to find anything on Pricing, but as it's been pointed out in the "GERMAN B-A-B SITE" thread, they WILL be selling a Kermit T-Shirt and an alternate...
I've found out that most of the issues with Gonzo's face is the way he is stuffed. I popped mine open and took the stuffing out of his head trying to tweak his eyes, and re-stuffed him with the stuffing pushing the sides of his face, rather than the top. Looks SO much more like Gonzo now.
Only...
Very interesting to see that these are already starting to pop up. I gotta admit, they really hit one out of the park with Kermit. He looks much better than I pictured him being as a Build-A-Bear. Can't imagine why they wouldn't sell well.
Unfortunatly, they are just one phrase.... Plus they will only hold I think 30 seconds. At least the last time I was there, which was a couple years back. The ready-made ones, with "Official" sounds hold longer phrases.
You could still buy them, they DO sell these individually. It'd just be a...
Sounds awesome, Walter... but I think it could use a little tweak. "Man Or Muppet" certainly needs to be an option. Come to think of it, Life's A Happy Song certainly fits so much better.
Just checked, and YES they do currently sell a Tuxedo set, and it should fit on any Muppets that are released. I mentioned the voiceboxes earlier, there should be 1 for each character, "YAAAY!!" "Wakka Wakka!" "I'll go fer coffee, sandwhiches, anything you need!" and maybe one with The Muppet...
Fozzie's a little left out, though... But all of those would be great additions. They should (pending these make guys make it) make Walter's collared shirt with the Kermit shirt over it. And that watch idea is brilliant, Walter.
This is what i've been thinking of, there is just SO much they...
You mean like building a Cookie Monster and buying the Batman outfit for him? You can TOTALLY do that, no problem.
You can buy any clothes they offer, for anything. They don't come "with" the buildables themselves, the clothes cost extra - so they can't make you buy the "right" clothes. That's...
