I said the reason I like Turtles II isn't Vanilla Ice, like some people. Though he doesn't hurt, really. I mean, it didn't look quite so dumb at the time. Macy Gray in Spider Man will look a lot more out of place in ten years. Ah, never mind.
-Chris
Haha. Yeah, Ernie isn't the best actor ever, but is Casey Jones' character in the first one really all that interesting or even necessary? Besides, he didn't have the good lines (paraphrasing):
Keno: "Hey, ladies...how about a little ride on my motorcycle?"
Girl: "In your dreams."
Keno...
I still have to disagree with everyone (everyone who disagrees with me, that is) about the best Turtles film. It's the second one. And it's not because it has Vanilla Ice in it, thank you. I would explain why, but I've been staring at this computer screen for too long and I think I mentioned...
I've always wanted to start up a Muppet cover band of some sort. That or a Monkees cover band. Both would rock so incredibly hard. Maybe someday.
-Chris
Amen, brother.
I *love* both Swingers and Made, but I kind of tend to lean towards Made, actually.
"And this money, who gets this?"
"That's your per diem."
"Right, this is my per diem. And who do I give it to?"
I am always loyal, loving, borderline-obsessive fan of Muppets, but...
Yeah, those same hidden features are on each of the Time Life discs, too. I suppose the Columbia's really are *exactly* identical to the Time Life discs, right down to closed captioning, which is stupid.
And everytime I've been to Wal-Mart at midnight looking for something (and this...
Glad to find someone else who really loves Swingers & Made. They're fantastic. Monsters, Inc. is wonderful, too. No comment on Star Wars.
I do wish studios would stop putting really cool stuff on their dvds as easter eggs. Like documentaries or interviews or whatever. Stuff that should...
Some countries cut the shot of the sailor breaking the glass and threatening Fozzie when he's on stage cause they didn't think that belonged in a kids film. There's your answer.
-Chris
You should have spoken up! Now he'll always believe that it's a computer doing all the work. Oh, well. Cheers, though. I've always thought that it doesn't matter if the puppeteer's voice sounds exactly like the original Kermit, Fozzie, or what have you, as long as they do the character well...
It's all about pushing up in the correct location, I believe. Something up there should become highlighted before you push enter if you're doing it right. Such as it is with most easter eggs.
-Chris
Okay, so anyway, try www.dvdeastereggs.com. That should help you out. The Dark Crystal disc is incredible. Amazon.com usually has the correct specifications for any given dvd, so that's a good place to check up on what special features on each disc. www.dvdfile.com or www.thedigitalbits.com...
I've found I don't get picked on for borderline obsessing over the Muppets. People are always like, "Oh, yeah, man I still love Sesame Street" or "Animal is the best!" or whatever. The characters are timeless, no matter who's doing the voice, even. The only problem is that most people don't...
College, at a university at least (in a dorm setting), is just one big party. You can't help that sometimes. Everyone's there to learn, and they do, but it gets crazy. Much more like camp than one might expect going in. Much better than high school, too.
-Chris
I'm a bit movie minded at times, so...
50th anniversary of Singin' In The Rain
20th anniversary of Tron
10th anniversary of my first visit to Muppet Vision 3D
That's all for now.
-Chris
When I got my DVD set, it arrived without the tenth disc. We called and they shipped the tenth disc free of charge next day air. They were very kind and very helpful. The online help desk is also quick and easy, too. Sorry you're having so much trouble.
-Chris
The White Stripes are amazing. Their second album is their best, methinks. All the attention they've been getting lately is bogus. They'll go back to being nice and obscure soon enough. :)
-Chris
Re: cantus:
Both of those are great. I've never met anyone whose favorite Bowie was 1. Outside. That's cool. I'm a serious sucker for Space Oddity. Selling England By The Pound is in constant rotation on my mp3s right now.
What I'm listening to on the way to school or between classes...
