    CGI & other advances: GOOD/BAD?

If it does look bad already, CGI will look sillier and sillier as these films get older. Filmmakers have gotten way out of line with using these effects too heavily, while films using opitcal effects more often than not still look great (2001, anyone?). Boo on CGI. Boo. -Chris

You rock, Matt. Child's Play...I like the second one. The first one's probably best, though. Hehe. -Chris

Our Favorite Non-Muppets Music - An Open Discussion

Looks like I'm the big indie rock kid around here. What are you talking about, Gumby? Blur's 13 is beyond description. Oh, well. Your music taste is very nice. And, Bert: Still Crazy After All These Years is in regular rotation in my cd player right now. It's incredible. And yes, Paul...

    Farscape: Cancelled

This is from thedigitalbits.com. It gives some good contact info down there: "Yes... you read that right. The frell-nicks in programming at the Sci-Fi Network have opted out of their just-signed contract for seasons five and six of Farscape at the 11th hour, meaning that after the rest of...

    Show coming up...come see me

All right, you Floridians. I'm playing a gig in Orlando this upcoming Tuesday night, September 10th. Details at my site. Just thought I'd let you know. I'll probably soundcheck with As The World Falls Down, so get there early. :) -Chris

    The subject of trilogies

Personally, I'm quite the champion of the 90's. They were pretty cool. I mean, sure, the world lost any last bit of innocence and sensibility it had, but at least we got some good music. Can't say the same for this freakin' decade so far, man. -Chris

More Time-Live Muppet Show DVD's will arrive in September

I don't mean to be impatient, and I'm sure the answer is no, but has Time Life given any indication as to what day they're going to start selling the new discs? It's a long shot, but why not. <---*period intentional, statement, not question* -Chris

    The subject of trilogies

Just rereading my last post, and sorry if my posts seem preachy and "I'm the only one that's right." I don't mean to be overbearing. Everyone's got their own opinion and that's important. So, sorry if I'm pushy. Don't mean to be. Anyway, no joke about the Special Editions. Lucas needs to...

    The subject of trilogies

Batman Returns is the completely misunderstood work of a cinematic genius at the top of his game. There's a few out there who agree with me. Seriously, watch it. It takes major guts to make a film like that. It's horrific, it's beautiful, and it's intensely personal. Burton was saying...

    The subject of trilogies

All right, Beaker started this on the Ninja Turtles thread, and I thought it would be fun to make this a new topic for everyone cause I'm bored and curious. Let's start up some real debate. Okay, the question is: what is the best/worst film in any of these given trilogies? We're going to...

    Ninja Turtles

"Combat cold cuts!" Haha! I don't know. I just think the second one isn't funny cause it's goofy, it's funny cause it's funny. Plain and simple. I sure don't blame them for putting Vanilla Ice in it. He was hip (for a few moments), so why not? I have the Ninja Rap on my computer and...

The Cat Came Back...and Has the Report to Prove It!

I've been to Disney easily as many times as you Cantus, and I agree that it never gets old. And yes, living in Orlando, I should know: Universal sucks. It's terrible. The coasters *wish* that they were Busch Gardens. The whole park is so in your face. It's a big commercial. Even...
