    Walmart Fleece

The fleece that Wal-mart carries is okay. It won't hide seems as well as Antron and certainly won't give you as "pretty" a final result but it does work for making puppets. I don't know if I've actually bought any fleece from Wal-mart specifically but I have made a few puppets from the same type...

First time sharing a puppet image

Here's the second puppet I've finished for our planned show. He was completed with pretty similar materials to Blank, but I used the Project Puppet Rotondo pattern. His name is Stanley. He's a 40ish assistant manager of a mall retail store...

First time sharing a puppet image

Thanks for the compliments! Nope, no eyes under the hair. And Rupert I can see where you'd ask about Robert Plant but I didn't have him in mind when creating Blank. He really sprang to life from the first script I wrote for our show. I instantly knew his voice (Like totally a surfer dude!) and...

First time sharing a puppet image

Hi all! I've been bumming around the forums and occasionally posting things for about 5 years now. This is the first time I've posted any photos or links to photos though. I've learned so much from so many people here it only seems right to share my amateur results with my cohorts out here...

    Puppet Eyes yay!

Yeah, I should have thought of asking/looking here. I've found so many other useful bits of info here you would think it would have occurred to me sooner. Sometimes my head is filled with too much foam and fleece! Oh, and by the way StaceyRebecca...YOU ARE AWESOME TOO! If you hadn't started...

    Puppet Eyes yay!

YOU ARE AWESOME! I have searched for those darn things for the last two years with no success! I just love my Muppet Central Forum buddies! Thank you SO MUCH! I wish I'd asked sooner they would have been helpful for the puppet I'm currently building. Ah well she'll have ping pong ball eyes that...

    Damaged Puppets?

I don't believe that Kermit is actually covered in ice cream. I would guess that is shaving cream. Shaving cream has often been used in movies and TV to stand in for cream pies, and other things. I would guess it is a good deal easier to clean off the puppet. I think there are many tricks like...

    Puppet Eyes yay!

    ...and thank you...for caring. :D

    Puppet Eyes yay!

Those are cool, if a little pricey. I've been trying to find just a basic "frog eye". A white plastic half bubble that attaches with a stud and lock washer. I can find lots of the frog eyes with a pupil already attached but none that are just the plain white eye. I'll just keep with the old...

Puppet Eyes: Cotton or Styrofoam Balls ?

Bowling ball eyes? I think that puppet would HAVE to have an anvil nose! And chain mail skin....

New Film by Tim Lagasse and Marty Robinson

Awesome! Loved it! You guys did such a great job of capturing the feel of an elementary school performance home video. Very well done and entertaining!

how can you tell diffrent styles of puppets just by looking at them ?

Okay, I think I see your question. You want to know which Project Puppet pattern would work for which Muppet. Well, here's an attempt at a basic list/comparison. 1. Fozzie, Cookie Monster, Oscar: Borsa pattern. These are all "live-hand" or glove puppets and this would certainly be the best...

    Help with Making Muppet Patterns

Some Project Puppet patterns do include patterns for the foam body of the puppet. The Forma series does, but I don't believe the Simple Series puppets employ foam for their bodies so I don't think they do. I've only gotten the Forma series myself, but I'm planning on getting more patterns soon...

    Help with Making Muppet Patterns

I have only been at this puppetry craft for about 5 or 6 years but I would agree with what practicecactus said. I ESPECIALLY agree with the Project Puppet idea. I have bought about half the patterns they offer and they're GREAT! This is a company that was founded to help with your exact problem...

Looking for a reference on a puppet maker!

Sorry to hear things haven't worked out for you pd...maybe he'll come through eventually? Let's hope so. Otherwise you could always give him a little of the Scottish marshal arts (as described in So I Married An Axe Murderer).

    Favorite Non-Henson Puppets and Puppeteers

I agree with so many of the people and puppets that have been listed already, so I will just add one that I haven't seen here yet. I'm a big fan of Jigsaw Fanclub by Ben Jones. Good stuff! If you haven't seen it I offer up this link. Click and enjoy. http://jigsawfanclub.com/
