That is true. But apart from showing your vaccination card, how can this be enforced?
It is unfortunate people will lie about shots so not to wear a mask. Basically we’re rolling on an honor system, and not everyone will be honest. That’s part of human nature.
At least today I saw other people...
I was at Shoprite and then Walmart, and more often than not customers had no masks on.
I went in both places with a mask, and found I didn’t need one.
Nobody was acting Karen-crazy.
Nobody asked to see my vaccination card, but I have it in case.
So another step closer to normal.
What’s so...
I might swing through McD’s and I’ll see how they are with ketchup smearage.
My wife will get a burger, I’ll probably get a chicken sandwich.
But if there’s ketchup on chicken, I ain’t coming back. Mustard, I can see. Some chicken dishes, you coat the chicken with mustard before you bake it...
I can eat plain bread too, but there’s so much good stuff to put on it. One of the best inventions at Olive Garden or any other Italian restaurant, dipping bread in olive oil. Throw in a little pepper or basil, you’re set. Easier than trying to spread a hard pat of butter.
I don’t think I would say “You’re cute!” to a total stranger, much less “Hey, Cutie Pie!”
We mentioned this before. I still believe in holding a door open for a woman, out of being polite. I never ran into any woman who ever took offense at this gesture.
Good manners don’t cost anything.
It is. If a man is aggressive to a woman, my instinct would be to step in. Out of chivalry if nothing else.
But a woman attacking a man, either the man did something really bad, or he’s a wimp.
Or the woman is some psychotic beast. Ironically enough, a woman might step in, but not a man.
This is...
I know. Sometimes at the bank or post office the customer in front of you starts talking to whoever is behind the counter like a long lost brother.
If there’s people in line who have business to take care of, you shouldn’t be holding them up.
Where did you go for your vaccine?
Little bits of white lettuce core shouldn’t be in there. If those salad packs say iceberg, you have to be careful. Excessive moisture turns it brown real fast.
Romaine will last you a lot longer. And you get green leaf, and hardly any stem.
Arugula looks like spinach leaves, but it has a...
Exactly. At a funeral men are expected to wear dark suits. You don’t show up in a Speedo.
Same with women. At a formal ceremony like a funeral or wedding, you’re not there to draw attention to yourself.
I had a coworker in the 90s when I worked at Penney’s. I was 23, was 40, married with a kid...
I know good looking women get catcalls while walking past construction sites and such.
Yes, many men are pigs, and say some inappropriate stuff.
But some can be sincere in complimenting them on their dress, hair, etc.
There is a difference between “That’s a nice dress” and “Hey, baby! You and...
Okay, I was close.
Now it’s time for a gyro, or a loaf of Jewish rye, chocolate babka, or Elaine’s big salad.
Or eating a Snickers with a knife and fork, or M&Ms by the spoonful.
Like I said, I’ve weaned myself off soda for the most part. Yes, I was the poster boy for Diet Dr Pepper for a long time. Now I pretty much live on unsweetened iced tea.
As you get older, some of you may find out the sweetened cereals you grew up with might not agree with you anymore. (I pity...
Since I can only drink diet, Diet 7up is my go-to. Since my stroke, no more cola (too much phosphorus) I used to drink diet Dr Pepper like it was going out of style.
Diet Sprite is decent, diet 7up just as good.
But I never order soda if I go out to eat. Then it’s unsweetened iced tea.
