It sounds awful, but I'm sure the baby wouldn't cry for the milk if they didn't give her a late feeding on the set. They could have probably shot the film differently, like showing children drinking milk & cookies. Kind of like how the little girl stares into the orange crayon, & they show where...
Oh yes! The bridgekeeper! He requests the crosser to point out three triangles in exchange for crossing the bridge. The traveler ends up playing a song on the accordion for the bridgekeeper in the end.
What I have noticed is that in the 80s, many of the counting clips & animations stopped at the number 12. The pinball song, & the ringmaster animations are perfect examples. In the mid 80s, why did they stop at 12 as the highest number that was taught? I have two theories:
The number 13 is...
I think I know what song you are referring to. "Everybody likes to eat." It shows all different creatures eating. I forgot about that one until you reminded me.
*I have posted this elsewhere in the forum once before, but I'll post it here again to make things easier. Also, if someone could get a petition going, I'll gladly sign it.
SS will ALWAYS be around. There is alot of money & cultural influence tied into it. It's an icon in children's (&...
Perhaps that is why I never did catch that one on Unpaved. Sadly, I don't remember that one from childhood either. Welcome to the forum Zet! Oh yeah, Sendak was so awesome when I was a kid. My favorite was the book & song "Chicken Soup With Rice" :)
Oh man, I was thinking the same thing the last time I saw that clip. That baby looked so upset & fussy, as if they didn't feed it for a week, just so they could get such an urgent response for milk. It was a little unnerving. :(
Now that I think of it, more live action clips are coming back to me. "Your my baby, my beautiful baby" "I'm Pretty" (what I am is pretty) "everybody sleeps" "we all sing with the same voice" "what do you do with a fruit?" (they're juicy & healthy & cute...) So many memories are coming back to...
SS will ALWAYS be around. There is alot of money & cultural influence tied into it. It's an icon in children's (& adults) television programming. Think about it, SS merchandise, Sesame Place, Sesame Live. The show will always be around. The question is:
WHERE?
PBS will show the new seasons...
Memories! I remember the dog paddle song: "If I could only paddle, like a doggy oughta paddle, I would paddle my way to you" Or there was a clip about swimming like a frog, that had a catchy chorus line of: "La-di-da-di-oh, La-di-da-di-oh, La-di-da-di-oh-day!" Does anybody remember the clip on...
Oh yes, I remember that one too, about the hungry baby & how milk gets produced & makes it's way to the consumer. That was an old clip from the first season I believe.
I remember the live action clip. The song went like this:
"Takes a lot of little nuts
To make a jar of peanut butter
'Cause one peanut in a jar
Really doesn't go too far
Gotta crack and shell and mix 'em
There's no other way to fix 'em
Takes a lot of little nuts to do the job...
Juliette & Ingrid are the same muppet I believe, but with different personalities. Ingrid is baby Natasha's mother, & Juliette was Telly's sister if I remember correctly. Can anyone confirm this, as my memory just may be a little rusty.
I'll upload them to my computer & email them to you if you want. It may take a week or so, because I have to find the disks though. I have a nice rock version of the song, but I have no idea who sang it. :sing:
That is so nice of you. Thanks a million! I think alot of people will be happy, because the song is loved by many! I have a few versions of the song, but I never heard that one. :flirt:
Roosevelt Franklin looks like he could have been Ernie's little cousin or relative of some sort. The hair, the striped shirt. To me they look slightly similar. If Roosevelt Franklin wasn't given an official name & character personality, perhaps he could have been used in a few skits that pertain...
