Yeah I think so in that everyone thinks of him as a wierdo, yet that's not really mentioned much on Muppet Show. It's more a staple of Muppet Babies.
Plus on Muppet Show for the most part he was just part of the zany ensemble Kermit had to deal with (don't mean in a bad way, just saying)...
But many sources agree that without Henson and the Muppets the show would not have gotten very far. And even though I don't agree with all of the changes made today, it's worth noting the popular parts of the show remain the Muppet characters.
Even though the show continued with Jim Henson, it...
I remember the film, it was huge when it came out. I'm not usually a fan of modernizing classics, but in this case I think it worked. They had good respect for the material and it was very heartful and the overall message came through. :)
Oh man, I hadn't noticed that yet, thanks so much, Steve, that was wonderful! Really made my night. :)
That's why these guys (Richard and Frank of course) are my two favorite Sesame Street performers. You really can't beat two such different yet spot on senses of humor. And you can tell they...
Oh I know, and I do respect their wishes. I just don't agree with the decision. Not because the scene's good, but again, because John Denver loved flying. It seems sad to erase that. But obviously it's their call.
The only time I've seen the unedited version was at The Paley Center for Media. It was a funny scene and John Denver loved flying. I think it was completely unnecessary to cut it.
Well Grumpy's a good character because he goes through a journey in the story. He goes from this real misanthrope to the one who's the most grieved at Snow White's "passing." It's your classic story of converstion and redemption. My movies teacher once mentioned that in a great deal of movies...
Aw, that's so cute, MN! Actually the other day I saw a photo of a dog that greatly resembled my puppy. If the markings hadn't been slightly different, I seriously would have thought my puppy had taken a secret business trip! It was indeed almost spooky! Lol
Did you guys see this thread on the...
Cool idea!
Let's face it, it always has to be Aquaman, lol. The water thing is just not workable in practice, hehe. Plus I always loved the Rat-king for some reason, lol.
Well I wasn't too familiar with either show at the time. I think Roseanne was a bit funnier (at least for my own sense of...
Hmmm, well, heh, could be that he's fine with himself not reading, but finds it slightly more difficult to project that lessons to others. Or perhaps he's been covering up his embarrassment over not reading by acting like he's proud of it.
They're from the very popular '50s TV show for kids, Kukla, Fran & Ollie. Fran was a real human being who interacted with them. The puppets were undeniably primitive, hehe, but pioneered the popularity of puppetry on TV and sometimes had socially conscious messages (I saw one show where Ollie...
Yeah that makes sense. It just always amazes me the impression studios have of what kids actually like. It's like these execs were never children themselves, heh.
And then there are the times when they do get it right and the rest of us go, "Ughhh!" ;)
But anyway, the wheels of justice grind...
Ahh, that is interesting. Well as William Goldman the famous Hollywood playwright, once explained, there is no sure formula for a hit. So many underestimated projects go on to be hits. And then there are projects everyone assumes will bring in the bucks, only to bomb big time at the box office...
Sometimes I think audiences were better off barely knowing the details that go into developing a film. Don't get me wrong, sometimes audience support or protest is needed while a picture is being made. Still, it wasn't so long ago that leaks and rumors were hard to come by and in many ways, that...
Hehe, speaking of, here's our good friend Smokey the Bear. Many youtube commentors seem to report running from the room every time this one came on lol:

And here's our pre-Muppet puppet friends, Kukla and Ollie...
Yes, glad it went well! :)
Oh yeah I remember that clip!
Notice how the feather magically ends up in Don's hand at the end? Lol
I guess they were trying to keep any historical lessons pretty simple here since this was for 4 year olds. All the kids need to know is, The Declaration of...
