You know I can watch Home Alone today and it's still funny and still so incredibly heart felt. I think that's existed for awhile. I think some would say that "persons" is often used for more formal occasions.

Absolutely, I think it showed a misunderstanding of their personalities and what kept them in character. It may have been an entertaining pre teen movie, but it wasn't the Muppets.
