I don't think that necessarily means they are hiding something. It may just be a question the person didn't know how to answer and therefore chose not to deal with it.
Well certainly in the past Disney had that reputation in how they treated some of their own stars.
In this case, I think it was just coincidence, I'm not sure how much they really know about the Muppets history to be honest. They should know of course, but... ;)
Hehe good point.
Oh I know, I know. I didn't mind that the characters were different and not doing well. I just questioned the taste level of how it was presented. It just seemed very gratuitous. I think it would have been done differently if the movie had been made a few years before.
But...
Yeah and that's totally fine, I just didn't agree with the way they chose to show it. It could have been done differently. But anyway, I guess I'm just saying canon is often a loose term even for the actual product. ;)
Well, hehe, I could argue that A Very Merry Muppet Christmas was completely off the mark and out of line with their alternative universe scenes. Yes I know it was an alternate universe, but that doesn't mean that's the way it should have been done. Just one friendly viewer opinion. ;)

Oh yeah it's great when fanfic writers do their research, there's nothing worse than a fanfic that's totally out of character. I think more fanfic writers should do research first. It's just that again, we create new situations and relationships in fan fics all the time. :)
Well that's what I mean though, we create new relationships in fanfics all the time. How do we know which ones are more canon than others? (not to single you out or anything, just as an example).
Well I don't really agree with how the Snowman thing was handled. OK, so they have to cut out the song. But that doesn't mean any mention of the character needs to be removed.
I understand what you mean by staying true to the character. But....aren't there fanfics where two characters have some kind of relationship (romantic or otherwise) that is never shown in the movies or TV shows?
For instance two characters who never spoke to each other in the movies or show...
Yeah that was some rotten luck, they didn't get the rights for the song Fozzie and the Snowman (Richard's character) sang at one point, so they removed nearly any mention of the Snowman. For "continuity" you know. ;)
::shudders:: ;)
This may sound a little strange but I seem to have this absolute aversion to people saying, "Shhhh!" For as long as I can remember it's made my skin crawl. The same way people don't like chalkboard scratching. I had one teacher in High School who used to do it all the time and...
I don't recall this one, very interesting!
Yeah I still love "Hey Cow," it reminds me of the mellow, peaceful atmosphere of Sesame Street's early live action films.
::shudder:: Waldo used to scare me when I was a kid, lol.
Hunt for Hunt I could live with though, hehe.
Regarding cameos, if you guys get to The Paley Center you might order Muppets in Walt Disney World. At the beginning of the Indiana Jones Show towards the end, you can see Richard in the...
