    Learn Something New Everyday Thread

Apparently in Medieval times, barbers would also do surgery and dentistry, and the red and white swirled pole represents the bloody bandages of their patients.

Sounds like I didn't miss much of anything.

    Learn Something New Everyday Thread

Today I learned the morbid reason why barber shop poles are red and white swirled.

    Animated Hotties?

I can kinda see where some people *cough*Nostalgia Critic*cough* are coming from as far as feeling Lola was shoehorned into SPACE JAM to reach out to the female demographic, because let's face it, not only was there not a lot of female Looney Tune characters, but not a lot of positive female...

Disney Muppet Babies Season 1 Episode 3 - The Great Muppet Sport-A-Thon/You Say Potato, I Say Best

I had to miss it because I had business to take care of this morning.

It also doesn't help that they suddenly switched to Kristen Wiig to voice her, and she's usually type-casted as awkwardly stupid (or stupidly awkward) characters anyway.

Sold my old portable air conditioner for a cool $100.

    Animated Hotties?

Yes, I hear ya, I do like shapely hips myself. Never been a fan of size 0 stick figures that the modeling world seems to worship.

    Animated Hotties?

I may not have had a thing for Dexter's mom, but I love this bit from the episode where Dexter transformed Dee Dee into their mom, and she's in awe of her Hartman Hips:

What do you know about dreams?

True. I found NANNY 911 a little more interesting, because they had three different nannies they would dispatch based on their strengths in where they needed to help get the families back in line . . . and IIRC, there was a rare occasion where they had to send all three nannies to a particularly...

    The Loud House Thread

Well, to be fair, look at all the other cable cartoons that survived beyond the original creator's involvement: JOHNNY BRAVO without Van Partible, DEXTER'S LABORATORY without Genndy Tartakovsky, POWERPUFF GIRLS without Craig McCracken . . . even SpongeBob without Stephen Hillenberg. Even Joe...

What do you know about dreams?

    Ehh . . . I prefered NANNY 911 myself. :P

    The Loud House Thread

Despite the obvious backlash, I'm surprised that the show is still going strong, despite one of the characters having two gay dads, and one of the sisters shown to have a lesbian (or bi) crush on another girl. Had this show happened ten years ago, it would have been yanked from the airwaves...

What do you know about dreams?

In stealing a cop car, you could have pulled another car over making them believe you're a cop, then get out and steal their car! :P

D'Snowth's Scale Model of Sesame Street

I honestly couldn't tell you - like the show itself, my model has always remained a WIP ever since I first put it together in 2001. I'm sure the hours could very well be in the hundreds, maybe, I'm not sure.

    Ehhhh. . . . I'll Bite

True. And honestly, I don't look back too much at a lot of the older stuff, mainly because it feels embarrassing to see just how shoddy it is. That's why the original Moron League was private for so many years before I finally migrated it to my current main channel: I was too embarrassed by it ...

D'Snowth's Scale Model of Sesame Street

That, probably not. I do still occasionally search for Muppet figures though. Presently, Herry, Rosita, and Abby are the only ones remaining on my list.

Well, apparently THE LOUD HOUSE has been such a successful hit that they're supposedly coming out with a Hispanic version of the show.
