Oh yeah I remember that, lol.
This kind of spells out to me what's changed about Sesame Street. Even harmless humor is being sacrificed in favor of paranoid political correctness.
Well I do know a couple people like that and they get very annoyed with me when I refuse to watch the film, heh.
Nostalgia does have that amazing power of turning the mediocre into magnificence. ;)
Well I think we're evil at heart and also good at heart. We have free will and we make choices; it's our choices that help define the kind of person we are. :)
Btw that really annoyed me, heh, it's no better than what Lucas did to Star Wars, lol. Plus them removing the line "Do you speak American?" Why, because it was technically incorrect? It's a joke! Are they so terrified of accidentally corrupting children's minds?
Well I guess it makes sense, I...
Well I should point out that the 1970's was dubbed the "Me Decade" and the 1980's was the "Greed Decade," lol. I do remember reading in Child Psychology class an expert blaming the 1970's for encouraging reward without achievement in children. Basically parents had been so strict and harsh in...
I never thought about it as a kid, but watching FTB now I do think Snuffy is still supposed to be unknown to the adults. He always appears just after they've gone or hidden somewhere away from them.
So they had tabloid logic even back then! ;)
I get what you're saying but I also want to point out that even married men back then probably mostly hung out with tons of guys rather than women. In the New Testament, women didn't even eat with the men I believe.
That was brilliant, thank you! :)
When I watched MFS (which is rarely), I just get this vibe of children pretending to be adults. The original Muppet films actually were adult and sophisticated. Muppets from Space wishes it could be that grown up! ;)
And that's basically the vibe I've continually gotten from the post-Jim...
Yeah I mean I guess they were trying to appeal to a low common denominator of children's entertainment. It certainly got them a lot of merchandise, but not a spectacular film.
To me, Darth Vadar's story in the originals is about being attracted to the darker side of human nature and then...
I agree that if I had to choose a favorite, it would be Episode III. But that's despite all the problems it still has.
I will say that Ian McDiarmid is always brilliant and a lot of fun as the Emperor. And Ewan McGregor, I really do believe he could be the same character that Sir Alex Guiness...
Yeah but how is that different from any other form of acceptable research and study? How else can one learn about something? If a scientist never dissecting and compared things where would we be?
