Sesame U.S. Postage Stamps Coming in 2019

Much like Abby in the beginning, Julia had a debut episode that was made into a big deal, then has made occasional glorified cameos here and there since . . . though, I think there was an episode from last season where she played a larger role in the story - something to do with finding shapes...

Do you think Rudy could become the new Elmo?

Well, they've explained it before: they really wanted a female Muppet on the show who could match Elmo's star power, but was sort of an "any-girl" character for little girls watching could really relate to; Prairie's too prissy and uptight, and Zoe's too quirky and eccentric.

Do you think Rudy could become the new Elmo?

She was until Abby came along.

Sesame U.S. Postage Stamps Coming in 2019

For all intents and purposes, so has Telly, which is why it seems a little odd.

    The "You know what?" thread

I grew up with the shapes as well, so I don't remember a time where the round pieces pre-dated the shapes. I wonder if "Classic Trix" would taste good, though? Because, again, Trix has had a really rancid aftertaste in recent years.

Sesame U.S. Postage Stamps Coming in 2019

I confess I'm a little surprised to see Telly get a stamp, given how he's increasingly grown into an obscure character in recent years . . . and if he can get a stamp, why not Baby Bear?

Sesame U.S. Postage Stamps Coming in 2019

Needless to say, I know what stamps I'll be using on Christmas cards this year! Interesting to see Herry get a stamp of his own; I guess this officially solidifies his comeback.

New Sesame Street movie in development with Warner Bros.

Probably Anne teaching the Muppets about sex and body parts.

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

I had the opportunity to meet both of them on separate occasions within the last year and a half. Yes, it would certainly be worth the drive, you don't want to miss an opportunity like this! I'm crossing my fingers they'll return to the Knoxville Fanboy Expo again this year for the Sesame 50th...

Frank Oz Talking ‘The Muppets,’ ‘Sesame Street’ and Dark Crystal Prequel

Frank pushed for his treatment of THE CHEAPEST MUPPET MOVIE EVER MADE, but as I understand it, Jason Segel pushed his screenplay harder, and that's who Disney decided to go with. And it's not so much that Jim didn't see eye-to-eye with Disney, it's mainly that Jim had mostly done business in...

    The "You know what?" thread

I used to be really happy about seeing the younger generations discovering and appreciating TV shows and such from yesteryears, and seeing for themselves what good television used to be like way back in the day - with many of them even agreeing that TV shows today could and should be a lot more...

Frank Oz Talking ‘The Muppets,’ ‘Sesame Street’ and Dark Crystal Prequel

To be fair, he's been saying a lot of these things for years, particularly in regards to SS and the Muppets. But what he had to say about DC was interesting, because other people within the Henson organization - both past and present - continue to make a big deal, to this day, about how the...

    Questions about anything

It's not just Klasky Csupo, they like doing that with all sorts of logos. It's kind of like those videos "Such-and-such movie, but everytime so-and-so does this-or-that it gets faster" or "Such-and-such movie, but without the such-and-such." I don't get it either.

    Courage the Cowardly Dog returning?

Dilly's begun working on yet another new animated short, which is going to be another horror romcom, following his familiar theme of a main trio consisting of a male, a female, and a dog: Looks intriguing, and I always love seeing updated WIP videos of whatever he's working on, yet we still...

Play with Me Sesame: What happened?

I'm going to go out on a limb and theorize that Sesame Workshop selling off their part ownership of Noggin to Viacom played a major factor in it.

    Questions about anything

It's been a really, really long time since I actually watched the Pokemon anime, but even so, way back when, there was something that always confused me, and I'm sure there's some crucial details I may have missed that might clear things up, so somebody help me understand something. . . . I...

    What made you angry today?

When will I ever learn that Google will never do anything to look into and/or fix any problems/errors/bugs/glitches/whatever you report to their support team? "Oh, we don't know what's causing the problem, so there's nothing we can do." "Oh, we don't have the time to look into this, you're on...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

I mean, for an organization that seems to appreciate its fan and fan-generated content, you would think they'd be a little more understand of Fair Use than a larger copyright bully like, say, Viacom, Disney, or Universal.

    Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4917 - Fixing X

Have new episodes been starting late for anybody else lately, or just me? Whenever I tune in at the top of the hour, the end titles of whatever previous movie are still running, and there's a small handful of promos before the show starts, usually a minute or two after its scheduled air time.
