I've already lost my two favorite weeks of September thanks to all of this, however, it appears things will finally return to normal (or, close to normal anyway) starting tomorrow . . . even though August is threatening to return for a few days again next week . . . assuming that won't happen...

I think part of the problem, too, is that so much of comedy in recent years is so dumbed down, that even many adults might not "get" some of the more sly and subtle humor of years past. I think I noted this in the "You Ever Noticed/What's the Deal with..." thread, but it's like in recent years...

The only difference with me is that I actually passed my driving test with only two minor mistakes (swinging a turn too wide, and accidentally forgetting to signal for a lane change) . . . it was the computer test that I failed twice before taking the driver's test.

I understand completely: being behind the wheel feels totally different than being in the passenger seat, and I too was a nervous wreck . . . it also doesn't help too that just the slightest little pressure you put on the gas pedal sometimes makes the car feel like it's just going blast off on...

I didn't even learn to drive till I was 24 - part of it was because of my discomfort with my (lack of) skills behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, but also because up until then, we only had one vehicle that was in various stages of disrepair, and neither of my parents were confident in me...

Now Weather Channel's like, "Huh, this turned out to be one of the most miserable starts to September ever." NO ****, SHERLOCK!!!

Evidently, the U.S. ban on incandescent lightbulbs may actually be lifted (even though it apparently still never went into effect yet) . . . and I'm the only one happy about this. I mean, honestly, the only light bulbs that ever came close to matching the lighting quality of incandescent are...

I was listening to an interview with Martin Scorsese, and his thoughts on the digital era of filmmaking that we now live in, and one of his biggest problems with the way things are is that with us living in an era where everything is cheaper and faster, the movies and films and such go away so...
