Are you kidding? Comcast's Sounds of the Seasons Music Choice channel has a whole playlist for Halloween songs every October! Granted, some of them aren't necessarily Halloween-related, and a lot of them are just science-fiction-related songs, or themes from movies like JAWS and such, but...
I don't understand that any more than I do decorating too early. Why wait until the day before the holiday itself to set up decorations, only to take everything back down again just a couple of days later? It makes it seem like a wasted effort, if you ask me.
As I've always said, each holiday...
See, this is what I've missed about the show in recent decades: kids just happy to be there, their joy and happiness is always so genuine, as opposed to how in recent years, many kids just almost seem like deers in the headlights, not knowing what they're doing there or why.
The closest we've...
I'm pretty sure I saw that on Disney Channel at least once as a little kid in the early 90s . . . I remember they would occasionally air Dr. Seuss specials during the holiday season - I actually have THE LORAX taped from such a broadcast during a Halloween season . . . not really sure what that...
Seeing Emmet Otter as a kid, I hated it, because it seemed so depressing, not at all what I expect from the usually wacky, off-beat, and humorous Muppets.
Seeing Emmet Otter again as an adult (last Christmas when it was shown in theaters), I don't hate it, and I can appreciate it for the piece...
Sheesh . . . I guess I need to look into getting a new camera, because these pictures came out quite blurry. :(
I swear Rob looked like a local, what with orange being our state color.
Of course I wore that shirt again - Noel liked it.
I chose this photo because, of course, when I think of...
When I met Steve, the Knoxville Fanboy Expo website was quoting his price as $60, but I remember it only cost me $40.
But, getting back to the subject of the panel, it was especially fun listening to Barry Gordon talk, since his natural voice is hardly any different from Donatello . . . in...
Kinda-sorta. At this year's summer con, Paul Reubens was charging $70 for his stuff . . . not that much compared to $200, but I was flat-broke during the summer, and couldn't have gone even if I wanted to.
But I mean, it does seem like the bigger the star is, the more expensive their perks are...
Had a really nice chat with him - I waited until nobody was in line at his table, so I could just chat with him one-on-one (well, one-on-two, as his chaperone would also join in on our conversations) without anybody waiting in line behind me. He told about some of the challenges that come with...
Oh, they were so much fun during panel - both were real big smart @$$3$, especially Cam (it was interesting to learn he and Towny auditioned for each other's characters, but Cam was really wanting Michelangelo, lol).
Funnily enough, Cam talked about that Clifford episode where he voiced the...
Went to the Knoxville Fanboy Expo.
Sat in on the Q&A panel with the original TMNT voice actors - Rob Paulsen, Barry Gordon, Townsend Coleman, Cam Clark, and last-minute addition of Renae Jacobs. Afterwards, I met and had a lengthy chat with Noel MacNeal. I tried to meet the TMNT voice actors...
I got to the con, and then realized I forgot my camera, so I had to drive back home to get it, then drive back to the con, lol.
At least this is a perk to living within the city limits: I was able to drive back home and drive back to con in less than fifteen minutes.
I'm just lucky I was able...
I seem to recall Season 32 had an episode with a Muppet expy of Steve Irwin, who inspired Elmo, Zoe, and Telly to adopt the personas of Australian animal enthusiasts.
Actually, it was because there were certain performers Jim wanted to keep separate from Sesame (while certain others were meanwhile kind of exclusive to Sesame) - Dave was actually one of those performers. Steve was too, actually; it was only because by taking over Kermit, which eventually lead...
