"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

Her heavily auto-tuned voice that makes her singing sound so robotic and unnatural, which makes her songs sound all the more annoying (case in point: "All About That Bass").

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

None Like it Hot: The "I Hate the Heat" Club

Wow, this is one of the rare occasions where when they say it's going to be below average during the month, they're actually right! Today was the first day of the season I had to wear a jacket outside, and it's going to be even colder next week! Nearly 30 degrees below average some days...

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

Truth be told, I don't think I ever even questioned it, let alone noticed that Jim and Frank's characters were hardly - if ever - seen on the actual street.

Why Sherry Netherland, though? Who even remembers her? Despite Kevin and Joey's departures, it seems like Humphrey, Ingrid, Natasha, and/or Benny would be more memorable characters to bring back for the occasion . . . even though, as I understand it, I think some of those puppets have been...

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

I don't think that's quite right. I know the Fix-It Shop used to have a "(Aqui) Se Habla Espanol" sign, but that would make sense, considering it was run by Luis (and later Maria as well).

And interestingly, it seemed like when they started doing new Grover/Johnson bits is when Frank started performing Grover again when he'd make his annual returns to the show.

I mean, we could say the same for Herry, or Mumford, or other characters of his that were gradually being retired.

    Little things we've noticed

Am I crazy, or didn't there used to be a version of the Bookworm song where the music actually continued playing after the song was finished, and was pulling back from the closed book in the library? I swear there was. . . .

HBO Max to debut Sesame Street Seasons 51-55 and stream episodes from 50-year library
