To be fair, Horatio wasn't exactly tailor-made for Joey like Murray was; even so, there were times where the puppet was used just as a generic elephant character, including a brief period of time where Marty performed the character, giving him an English accent, much like Monty.

After all these years, I think may have finally figured out why TBS seems to regard THE WIZARD OF OZ as a Thanksgiving movie, and I actually feel stupid for not figuring this out before. Because it's basically the lesson that Dorothy learns: to be thankful for what she already had in her life.
