That being said, there are, at least, a couple of actual connections between the two shows, in the form of Joe Fallon and Ken Scarborough: they both used to be the key writers for ARTHUR way back...
And I do appreciate that, I really do. It definitely got a mixed reception: some people, like you, enjoyed it for it's originality, of which I'm grateful; others felt it was long and boring.
Then again, experimental and avant garde isn't really for everybody, now is it?

I got a Pufnstuf as a Christmas present a couple of years ago.
But what really bothers me are those Cling and Clang plushes: those gigantic bugged-out eyes, and those angry eyebrows are very off-putting.
It's too much about me. Granted, it was intended to be pseudo-autobiographical about one of my creative processes, but it comes across as a vanity project.
Yes, I actually remember when it used to air on PBS in the mid-90s . . . it was an interesting concept of a show, seeing how a bunch of kids invade a TV studio and easily persuade the studio to let them produce, host, and broadcast their own show without question.
