I'm right there with you. Fans are literally complaining that their movies have been "erased." Um, no, it's right there on your shelf. Go watch it, no one's stopping you. How about worrying about the lives that were erased on the news this morning?
What has happened to fan culture?
I accept your apology. You had every right to state your opinion and I'm sorry if I went for a low blow. You weren't attacking me, you were attacking a movie, and I should learn to let things go sometimes, lol. You have to understand, I have been harassed by supposed fans on social media for...
You said:
"I would personally put Ghostbusters in the list, alongside Back to the future, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Jaws, ET... of movies that should not be remade." That is the anti reboot culture she was talking about. And you bemoaning "where it stands now" wasn't about the sexism thing...

Has it all been worth it? I just don't know anymore.
If you mean the part about the world having more important things to worry about, I agree. :)
All in all, it hasn't been a debacle, apart from some very toxic "fans." A lot of people ended up enjoying the movie, and again, outside of the Internet, people are able to agree to disagree.
Oh absolutely, I agree they are two stand outs in pretty much all the episodes.
That was at the same time? Wow, time flies, lol. And Jane Curtin also had Kate & Allie in the 80s too.
Yeah there are always those actors who clearly would be amazing if just given the right vehicle.
Yeah from what I read, his parents wanted to get him into a good school, so when the admissions person asked if he wanted to be a priest, he responded, "........Mmm...Yeaaaah....sure." Lol.
Still it must have had some kind of impact, looking at some of the themes in Blues Brothers. ;)
Yeah...
