Up until now, I only remembered the soundtrack version of "Tweet in the Morning," and I have to admit, Richard Hunt's repeatedly deepening "GET OFF MY FEATHERS!" kind of bothered me . . . almost like turning into the Hulk kind of thing, but less effective.
Am I the only one who feels like, generally speaking, that cell phones are sort of killing the art of photography and videography?
Granted, I'm sure there are some serious photographers or videographers out there who wouldn't dream of parting with whatever kind of cameras they use for their...
Well, I mean, it's kind of conditioned like this: with PAL being sped up 4%, anything that's sped up, even in the slightest, is going to sound a little more upbeat, while conversely, is something is slowed down, it's going to sound sadder and more melancholic.
Yeah, because he's a "rapist" now.
Funnily enough, my cousin brought this up at Thanksgiving dinner like over ten years ago before everyone else started talking about this, lol.
I mean I definitely give Brian kudos for being a rather versatile performer, but yeah, his Telly could really get on my nerves. Again, it was especially when Telly would get really whiney about something, like Episode 1709 when he thinks Big Bird won't want to be his friend anymore since he met...
For me. . . .
Seasons 1-4: Gold standard, definitely when the show was in its prime.
Season 5: Despite some of the original key creative people still involved, Arthur's voice drop was disorienting.
Season 6: My PBS skipped this season altogether for the longest time, but once I did finally see...
More so after Marty took over, and same with Snuffy as well. Prior to that, Brian's Telly was a lot whinier and more of a wet blanket, and Jerry's Snuffy was very much like a giant shaggy Eeyore . . . I mean, I definitely can't imagine Brian's Telly doing a bit like "Telly Tut" and certainly not...
I honestly didn't know . . . I was only familiar with them because both clips were featured on WORLD'S DUMBEST... and they were talking about what a whiney little b!+c# this kid was, lol.
My PBS stopped airing ARTHUR altogether after Season 20, so the show is pretty much dead to me at this point.
One thing I am curious about, based on the promos for the new season is why Bud is still in D.W.'s class if the Compsons moved away . . . either they didn't move away after all, or it's...
Here's a spoiled teen who wrecks a jeep his parents got him for his birthday
This is the same kid who in another clip actually fights with his grandmother, who lightly taps him with a paddle for mouthing off to her, and he responds, "OWWW! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I'M CALLING MY MOOOMMM!!"
Right. Joey saw so much potential in Telly as a character, but research was showing that kids didn't really relate to or connect with him like that do more childlike characters such as Elmo or Abby; Telly was modeled after people and characters that kids aren't really familiar with and can't...
Well, to be fair, he had gotten so involved with SS behind the scenes in addition to performing Elmo (i.e. producing, directing, and the like), it probably took up a lot of his time that returning to the west coast to do anything with the Muppets was probably not very practical for him...
I mean it's not like Kevin got fired or anything, he resigned from SS of his own volition, so it's not like he's really in any bad graces with either JHC or Disney.
I remember one time walking in a store wearing a Cookie Monster t-shirt, a little kid pointed it out and said, "Elmo! Elmo!" His mother was like, "That's right, that's Elmo's friend."
Right. Elmo's Friend.
