It didn't come off redundant to me, but I can see why you'd think so - given the theme of "kindness" was abundant in the story, it made sense to close the show with the message. Other episodes won't focus...
The street story was very good and funny, helped mainly by the fact it starred Grover. It flowed nice and didn't feel rushed, even though the individual bits were short. And I love that they go back to the street at the end; last season's eps. lacked closure completely.
