I was going to post this too! I just saw it. I love it.
When I heard about the Fart Shoes Incident, the first thing I thought was, well, wasn't there that line in "Muppets Take Manhattan," where Rowlf says "Why does everybody always blame dogs?" Surely, an actual fart joke is worse than a...

I laughed out loud, as they say on the internets. Good points.
This is one of the things that REALLY freaks me out about the entertainment industry, and makes me afraid to try to "get out there." There are so many dishonorable, disgusting human beings who are willing to steal other people's works and ideas in order to get ahead. It makes me very sad to know...
I kept holding out hope it would happen, regardless of common sense. I really would like them to admit that it's not happening, rather than constantly putting its release date two years away.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this story, but here you go.
So the question is, with Henson's other major projects (POTC and FRM) in a perpetual state of pre-production, will this one, with the major star power behind it, take...
Great point that.
"The Muppets" for all of their winking and nodding to adults, still have too much innocence in them for today's television. Now, if we could throw in a sex-charged love triangle between Piggy, Kermit, and Gonzo, and get Fozzie Bear addicted to heroine, and kill a character off...
Yeah, it was. Apparently, poorly executed.
I'm saying that it seems, from this trailer, at least, the spirit of the Muppets has been captured, more or less.
No question - I love the Labyrinth we got from Mr. Henson and company. It's one of my favorite films! But I would've liked a deeper story. I think Jim Henson was probably still reeling over the negative response on "The Dark Crystal" - which did have a deeper storyline - and wanted to do...
I hate to be negative about this, but I really don't like how Disney is using the Muppets to promote their stupid, mindless programing. The Muppets are better than this garbage.
1) They're going off of IMDB information. I don't know if the source is altogether trustworthy.
2) In speaking of trustworthy information, I'm hearing rumors that Henson is gearing up to officially announce POTDC's cancellation. I hope that this is just a rumor, but, at this point, it doesn't...
Why is it that there are so few good, in depth biographies on Jim Henson? I've read Jim Henson: The Works, which talks less about his life and more about his work. Even so, that's the best one I've found so far. :/
