Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I actually like all of the casting EXCEPT for Jim Carrey...I think he CAN do it, but I think Christopher Lloyd would have been the BEST Count Olaf...
He's a great villain/crazy old man.
I'll be seeing the movie. But I'm a little worried.
:halo:
Sam Arrow's been alone far too long...it's time Captain Smollet came along and helped him out.
The others are nice, but I'm loving Palisades' depictions of the MTI characters. Bring it on!
:attitude: :)
Yeah, but listen to WHO? (WHOM)
One Muppet fan wants one thing, another wants something completely different. And I don't think very many people want what I want. I hope not, for society's sake. :o
But yeah...they need to get away from Muppets trying to be "hip" and go back...
Very cool, Erin...I'm a recent convert to PHC, mostly because of the various Lake Wobegon recordings by Garrison Keillor...it'd be great to see that performed live.
Even if it makes me feel like an old man to like something on Public Radio....
:boo:
I love love love A Series of Unfortunate Events, and I'm scared that the movie will mess things up. I'm purposely keeping myself at least one book behind in the series, so I always have something to look forwared to.
Great books, great illustrations--they're like a combination of Harry...
Eden Toys is definitely the best of the best--not only on the colors, either. If you're looking to actually USE it as a puppet, the mouth is more flexible than any of the others.
I just came across a pic of myself with my Eden Kermit from December 1994...I was dragging him around...
Hey Phillip,
Thanks for posting again and giving us a heads-up.
Can't wait to see the revised figures--we really want to buy these toys.
:p :( :grouchy:
I've been out of the MC loop for a little while, but have there been any new developments or rumors or whispers or lies from the Fun-4-All people?
I'm wondering if PDiresta got a spanking for posting those prototypes so early in the process?
Hopefully we'll see more stuff at Toy Fair next...
Agreed.
The weakest parts of both MFS and VMX for me were the parodies and cameos--the parodies are already dated, and the cameos...well if you can't get A-Listers, it only points out the weakness of the franchise to bring in people like Kathy Griffin...
Anyway.
I actually have high...
I was the worst Boy Scout. Chopped a kid in the leg with an axe, had a bobcat in my tent, started a fight between scoutmasters on a 78 mile hike...
Anyway. I'm pumped for the Scoutmaster Kermit--at first I was just gonna get one Robin, but now I'll have to have at least 3 to have a little...
...I just saw this and had to comment.
;)
I'm the big 3-0, and if you're still collecting at 18-19, there's a good chance you'll still be picking these up (well, the good ones) when you're a geezer like me.
Then again, I'm crazy.
And let me second (or third) the...
...I'm not sure where you're getting the number "32" from...there's been no announced end to the line, and all indications are that momentum is still building, and Palisades will be making Muppets through 2005.
Some that have been "semi-announced" that aren't on your list include:
Black...
