Thank you GeeBee, that's the one I was thinking of. :) It was the birthday party and Sherlock Hemlock that just weren't coming to mind but I sure remember it now.
Simply amazing, redBoobergurl! It's been hot here and Monday through Wednesday are going to be REALLY HOT and STEAMY but then a cold front late Wednesday brings a chance of rain followed by low 80's and less humidity Thursday! Again I say, simply amazing!
That's cool though, all it takes is two for some great classic SS reminiscing!
Here, you can be like Kermit and I'll be like Grover running up. "Heyyyyyyy mikeybabyyyyy!" *Slaps your back hard*. :zany:
I wonder what Luis and Bob were upset about since the train didn't really do any harm...
Oh Bob. Yeah that was a little on the scary side as a kid. I remember each time it came on I would feel safe as long as that music was playing. But then when the music stopped it got tenser because then we hear the sound of the train in the distance on its way. I think they hugged each other in...
I have a Stearns&Foster that I bought in 1998 for over a grand. It's supposed to be the best of the conventional mattresses. I'd love to be able to afford a Select Comfort some day (supposed to be "like sleeping on air"!).
Interestingly, the mattress salesman tried to talk me into purchasing a...
Does anyone remember a sketch with Herry and the twiddlebugs? I'm thinking of one where near the end I think you hear a bunch of twiddlebugs going, "Twiddle twiddle twiddle ..." And I'm thinking Herry appears and is a little upset or puzzled. Maybe he says something like, "Where are all the...
I was just thinking about the sketch where two people assemble a couple pieces on the wall that look like the opening to a train tunnel. I'm trying to remember which two people were in this. I think it was probably Luis and Maria. I'm pretty sure about Maria but can't say quite as sure for Luis...
A little less hot and humid this weekend but still pretty harsh. Then Monday through Wednesday is back to the VERY oppressive heat (95F, 35C) and high humidity. Then maybe finally some significant relief Thursday through Saturday (forecasted highs of 80-85F, 27-30C)
Breakfast: Breakfast...
Bert said, "I don't get it." Then he stared at the sandwich in disbelief. And Ernie was still in his "this is perfectly normal" mode and didn't keeheehee for us. I remember the ending music too but hard to describe. It was seven beats. dih dih DIH dih dih DIH dih.
And great line about the...
There was a "beginning and end" one with a man who says, "Beginning" and then starts eating a hotdog. Music plays until he finishes it and says, "End." I don't think he ate it fast nor that they sped up the film. Well, actually I would say that it was eaten slightly faster than normal average...
Yeah mikebennidict had mentioned it was the magic chain shortly after I asked about this one and then it came back to me. Thanks ssetta.
And if I remember correctly, I think each time Ernie made the chain into a different shape the camera showed a close-up of Bert getting impatient. And then...
This reminds me of a line I thought was funny in a sitcom once. A woman said her husband was semi-retired. The guy she was talking to said, "Does that mean he drives halfway to work and then turns around and comes back home?"
And if that's what it means then boy do I wish I was semi-retired!
Just thought of the cartoon where a guy walks in a store and asks for five pounds of bubblegum. As the clerk weighs them a pound at a time the guy counts each pound. Then when all five have been dished out, he excitedly starts chewing on all of them at once and then blows a bubble so huge he...
HaHa good one, GeeBee. Reminds me of when you said in the "What is the most dated thing in Sesame Street" Maria because she dated David, Luis...
This was probably my favorite skit with The Count. Loved the opening music with the sounds of a werewolf (in broad daylight, though??) to create the...
When I was a senior in high school I noticed one day a friend of mine suddenly had a lot of facial hair. I asked him what was going on and he said that his brother bet him ten dollars that he couldn't go a week without shaving. He said, "Easiest ten dollars I'll ever win." And he did. But even...
