Nice, also the video that was on youtube of the behind the scenes rehearsal was apparently not the rehearsal as Gonzo did the same lip sync mistake in the actual performance. I guess they pre-recorded which makes sense.
The Gonzo puppet is really growing on me. Has an 80's feel to it...
I really liked that. Piggy was spot on and the puppet looked really good too, also spot on. The Piggy and Kermit interaction is really thriving with Eric. He seems to work well with Steve.
Wow, I started watching 20 minutes in thinking they wouldn't be on right away (and because I forgot) but I guess I already missed it. I hope someone recorded it and posts it.
Really? I thought John was the official recast. Whoever it was is good.
As for harmony, it means singing different notes that compliment the ones sng by another (I think, that's how I describe it anyway)
Jim Henson use to do Rowlf, Kermit, Dr. Teeth, Chef, and Link. Eric and Frank have/had Piggy and Fozzie, two main characters, plus Animal, Sam, and a bunch of lesser characters. And Jerry Nelson, well he had tons of second string and back ground guys.
Five characters for one performer is...
Wow, those were all really great. I was so happy to see the muppet labs set. I mean thei nternet muppet tech support jokes were ok, but THIS is what Bunsen and Beaker need to be doing. They are going back to the roots and doing some really good stuff.
Wow, Gonzo in a purple tux! And not the same purple tux from his youtube video. I wonder if he will be in his new purple tux on the season 4 DVD set menus screens.
Well Jerry and Carroll are special circumstances. They are much older and had to consider retiring. Steve is still fairly young and still very much in the game.
Well, it's an improvement IF that's what the final product will look like. Let's all remember that the prototype for Gonzo was perfect, but when it got down to mass production...not so much.
Thanks. The new Kermit is certainly bigger and compared to that particular MR Kermit it looks better, though compared to mine I like mine better. That was the main issue with MR Muppets, no consistency.
Is there a side by side comparison of these two yet? That is what I am interested in to see the real size difference. I'm happy with my regular Kermit, but a reporter Kermit that is bigger might be nice to stick with Fozzie, though I do wish it was GMC reporter Kermit instead.
Maybe they...
I like the new Fozzie (though not too new anymore), Sam (looks just like Muppet Show Sam again with a nice sharp stern beak), Bunsen (In the youtube shots it looks like they fattened up his head again) and Animal (again, back to his muppet show season one hair). Gonzo is BAD and I really hope...
Wow, that's a lot of good news. I do hope all of it actually happens. I mean, I never thought we would be 10 years without a Muppet movie (in theaters). I want to see what they can do now.
BUT I must say that the new Gonzo puppet looks weird. It looks more like a fan made puppet than...
