You CAN play DVDs on a Bluray player. You don't have to rebuy your existing collection to upgrade. In fact, it will make your dvds look better when connected to an hdtv.
A PS3 is the best way to go. Like I said, it plays dvds, blurays, and games, and has digital content.
Edit: and a bluray...
why would u needto upgrade all your dvds to blu ray? just get a blu ray that plys dvds. Refusing to upgrade to bluray is like refusing to upgrade from VHS to DVD, but at least you can get a bluray that plays dvds. Or even better, get a ps3. It plays games, bluerays, and dvds all in one...
You can't take the movie literally. It's just a story if how they could have met. It doesn't even mention the muppet show. Just take the movie for what it is in and of itself. It's like a cOmic book story. Over the years the origins are going to change, but the characters will still be true to...
i tried watchig MFS recently and it really falls flat now. i liked it before, but after watching the new movie it just....isn;t very good. The gonzo is an alien thing just doesn't work. its too easy. the original ending sounds better and would have helped, but the movie as a whole is still...
AVMMC, just like any muppet movie, is it's own thing. For one, it seems that "The Muppet Show" doesn't really exist in that continuity, at least not as a tv show. It seems to exist as just a stage show with no cameras. Also it seems that the muppets aren't exactly famous in that special, or at...
did a google search and while no site offers any history, the one that had any info was http://www.ehow.com/about_5389995_popcorn-chicken.html it says the food was around for a long time, but the name is modern.
edit: i can't find any earlier mention of the term, and i tried several differnt...
i looked it up ad it seems the term wasn't used until 1990's when kfc added to the menu. i hope thats true because it makes the line funnier to me. scooter was a head of his time.
i was expecting scooter to be selling popcorn at some point as he had a scene with popcorn in each of the first 3 movies. one of my favorites being gmcin which he turns to :cluck: and says "popcorn, chicken?". i don't know if popcorn chicken was a term usedthen, but i love that line just the same.
I was too actually. It's not that I think they should have used him, but if they did it would have been pretty cool. It could have been a double cameo.
They werent off by a dollar, they were off by 9.9 million, or something like that. When fozzie hits the counter we see it was set wrong and was off by two decimal places. They raised like 100k. It was clever to put that gag in because until then I thought the same thing you did.
i liked it, but there was certainly stuff missing that needed to be there. we needed to see piggy and kermit break up. we needed to see to see the entire bits during the show. "foget you" was too rushed and made no sense. the background on tex richman needed to be there. i had no idea why he was...
I like this. Reminds me a bit of "Hey a movie". It certainly has that old school muppet movie vibe to it. Of course I would like to see more muppets in it, but I get why that is not the case. I hope that this movie makes another possible, this time having the muppets in a totally different...
I like that they cleared up the Kermit mansion thing. Kermit living in a big expensive looking palace would be out of place. Kermit living in a run down "mansion" that he is doing his own repairs on fits just fine. After all, he did live their with Piggy. Kermit may like the swamp, but you...
I think the reason they are releasing it with no muppets is to show how cool they are. You release an album with muppets and people will pass it by saying "thats for kids" but you release covers by bands and people will pick it up because of the bands and then they may actually like the songs...
It seems Jason is taking a back seat to the Muppets (quite literally, look at the car scene!)
The Muppets have not had a movie in over a decade. Jason Segal is the one who brought them back with his script and he is a big name. It makes all the sense in the world from an advertising point of...
I agree. The joke itself is fine. Had he called them whoopie shoes or just said look at my shoes or something it would have been better, but "fart shoes" is just a little too....bleh for Fozzie.
The trailer itself as a whole seemed all over the place. It wasn't as polished as the other parody...
