Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I'm not a ReAction fan, but these look good. I'd love to see an Ultimates line if they leaned more towards the puppet look with various textures instead of the cartoon look that ReAction has. We have Boss Fight giving us Fraggle figures, finally fulfilling that long empty hole left after...
Main characters sell to the general consumer. During the Ask DST segment, they were asked if they would be releasing Animal again. Animal has been released several times over the years, but keeps selling out. Meanwhile, Deadly and Pepe pre-sales haven't been great, according to the same video...
Sweetums looks great so far. Zach says the prototype is 9 inches tall which is only about and inch to an inch and a half shorter than the Palisades figure. That makes this pretty spot on in terms of scale.
They also spoke about Deadly and Pepe sales not being strong. I think it's time for...
I'm surprised at the lack of interest in the announcement a year and a half ago, but the figures are out now.
MWCToys has a review up http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW-121323a.htm
I have both and they are truly spectacular.
Very cool. They also showed test shots of Sprocket and his seems to scale perfectly with the Fraggles. The line really is coming together and looks great.
I was considering just getting Classic Mokey, but now I'm thinking I'll get both and the new one will just be her sister.
Here is an interview with Boss Fight where the final figures are shown off a bit. Based on how they look in the hand of the reviewer, these will in fact scale with the Palisades line and not the DST line. So, it may have taken over 20 years since the Palisades line was released, but we have...
At the moment, pictures have not been shown. The listings just have place holders with the Sesame logo. Though I would imagine he will be in his trashcan.
I personally think they are getting away from grouping figures by waves or series. I wouldn't even consider series 4 to be an actual series as they were released separately. I'd say series 3 was the last "series".
The comment about having a lot of paint and not being sure if they will make it on time makes me think Sweetums as well. If there give him a proper paint job, that are a lot of layered paint apps that will take time.
I think having Muppet characters that are based on actual races defeats the purpose of having Muppet characters. Sesame Street has always been diverse with its human cast. It's imp[ortant for a show like Sesame Street to have a truly diverse human cast so that kids can see all kinds of people...
I believe Flange is slated for October, but if reviews are happening now I think it will be sooner rather than later. Wave 1 is slated for November, but we have not seen final samples yet.
Another update for those that follow this upcoming line. The Boss Fight gacebook page has posted text shots of Matt, Gobo, and Red in blue plastic. These are looking good and should fit right in with the DST Muppets in a display looks wise. Scale is still a question...
Boss Fight Studio Fraggle Rock FLANGE DOOZER Action Figure Review - YouTube Here is a review of the classic version of the Doozer Flange from Boss Fight
It's a small figure of course, maybe the size of a Palisades Rizzo. The pieces seem to be molded in their color with minimal paint...
I finished watching today and I have to admit it was actually pretty good. I didn't think it would be, but it found a good balance between the Muppets and the humans. It also did a decent job of making the band the main characters. I hope for a season 2 about them going on tour.
I feel like this joke is going to get really old really fast.... I hope not, but from what I've seen there doesn't appear to much this show can offer.
The Muppets work as an ensemble. You can't focus on just one part of the Muppets. The Muppet SHow, Muppet Movie, Great Muppet Caper, these...
