It did get pretty nice today, glad to report. 82, sunny, low humidity. Looks like 80's in the forecast for the next week. Like a lot of you others are saying about it being too hot for September, it's a little too warm for September here too. Should be getting the 70's by now.
All 37 of my threads flop. The most posts a thread of mine has is "NFL 2005" with 32. And I made 16 of those posts! :p But, since the NFL season just started last week, I'm sure it won't be long before this thread goes over 50, 75, 100, etc. At last I will have a successul thread! KEE KEE KEE!
Well here's a picture as well as a biography article about him that Mikebennidict found before.
And in this number painter thread mikealan describes all the number painting sketches Paul did on Sesame Street.
Not that you won't STILL be lost after this, KM. :p
Haha he was a little behind your time I see, Krazed Muppet. The number painter was played by actor Paul Benedict on Sesame Street in the early 70's. He would go around painting numbers on things like the street, an umbrella, a cake, and even a guy's bald head in a swimming pool! Paul Benedict...
Yep and credit to you, Muppets Rule, for starting the breakfast, lunch, and dinner aspect. :)
Well now for today it turns out to be a rainy one. And rain to continue for this afternoon. Highs about 85. (So much for the beautiful sunny and 70's weekend they had been calling for a few days...
Wonder if the fire truck was the same one as the truck one I thought of. I can't recall for sure what the truck I saw looked like, but think it was fairly large, like a fire engine woukl be. As for the tiger, have no memory of that at all. Maybe they still made these puzzle ones beyond 1977...
Well Big Bird came on Mr. Rogers' show in June 1981 and I see Mr. Rogers came on SS on show# 1575, which was in 1981. Just have to find out when in 1981 to determine if it was the same week. I see in the Sesame Street episode guide thread that this show also had a heat wave as the running topic...
That's pretty interesting. I never use margarine, always butter. Margarine is artificial. I heard that birds will eat butter but not margarine. And that margarine just sits there when left out where butter goes bad fast because butter is real (just cream and not those additives). I also don't...
Was there a version with an orangutan, too? I've seen "Somebody come and play" with the leopards. And for the original film in the early 70's I don't recall for sure what was shown. I think it was kids playing, and perhaps on a playground.
If it wasn't for a really cool classic SS picture I found last night and set as my backround display for when the computer is first turned on, I'd set this as my background display now. Well, I change background displays about once a month so maybe next time I'll change to this. :)
Sadly, pretty warm today after all (88F,31C). It did feel nice this morning, though. What's really depressing is that now there are no longer any 70's in sight. It's creeped up to the 80's for the forecast the next several days. From now on I'm not going to get excited when I see a high of 75 in...
And the profile is like the other spammers (eg. occupation: job. hobbies: interests.) Plus this is a first post, another glaring indication of spam. A legitimate joiner wouldn't start right off the bat with a post that not only has nothing to do with the muppets but is filled with rough...
Yes Vic this thing is a ..... work of art! :) Huge thanks to you for doing this. It not only reflects your talent but also your heart. It's such a neat thing to look at and glance around at random and smile as I see the names of all these people here at MC I appreciate. And I like how you put...
I also saw "Spiderman 2" before having seen the original. I enjoyed the second one so much that I wasted little time in renting the first one afterwards. I think the 2nd one is better but still really liked the first one a lot. They both have great action, great villains, great special effects...
Yeah I thought I might have seen that same guy pop on there before.
Some more memories:
Skip Hinnant marching and saying, "March! March! March! March!" Then suddenly the music speeds up and he and the others go, "Cha Cha Cha!".
Morgan Freeman was the band leader and blew his...
That's right. The violin played to create a sort of sad and sympathetic atmosphere. Her expression got to Cookie Monster and he amazingly was willing to share his most prized possession!
