What are you talking about. Splenda is healthy for you. There's nothing wrong with it. I've been using it for almost 3 years and nothings happened to me.

well here's a question for ya..... do you eat butter or margarin?

did you know that margarin is one molocule away from being plastic?!?
It was orginally made as a fattner for turkeys but it killed the turkeys. but the investors, trying not too loose all over their money some how got the idea to give it some flavor and a pretty color and market it for a "healthier" alternitive to butter :concern:

and here's another bit of trivia....... In Wisconsin it is illegle to use margarin in resturants unless specifically ask for by the customer.

That's pretty interesting. I never use margarine, always butter. Margarine is artificial. I heard that birds will eat butter but not margarine. And that margarine just sits there when left out where butter goes bad fast because butter is real (just cream and not those additives). I also don't like to use sugar substitutes. They all seem to be bad for you. But then again so is sugar. But I do eat sugar products (too much actually!)

Splenda is a special sugar created for people with diabetes. Thats why its in almost every sugar free food and drink.

I do!

Diabetes runs in both sides of my family, so I am constantly at risk of developing it, especially as I get older. So this last week I bought a bag of Splenda and tried it on a bowl of peaches with milk (instead of cream). All in all I was very impressed with the taste!!

I'm not diabetic, but I love splenda. I bought a box of it a year ago.. (and still have it) But that's cuz I rarely use sugar in cooking. The only time I ever need it is for coffee, and I leave the coffee making to Dunkin'.

Can't stand Splenda. It's disgusting and makes my tea taste like crap. Thank god Mom only put Splenda in a batch of tea once because we had run out of real sugar and doesn't do so regularly. I think I'd go insane.

Oh, and to the person who said margarine was only one molecule away from plastic: water is only one atom away from hydrogen peroxide. Think about that for a bit. :stick_out_tongue:
