Catch Boober by the Tail - The immediate prequel to Boober Doesn't Like Swimming. Boober really should know better than to make himself such an inviting target.
'Fraid you'll have to wait a little, 'cause I'm still editing it. Hmm... here's a little preview that doesn't contain spoilers. Someone's recognized Janken as a Fraggle and asked him what the heck he's doing out of his caves and messing around as a theater tech:

"I guess I gravitated...
That was when I started telegraphing it in earnest. Heh, if Gonzo hadn't been so wrapped up in his own issues he might have caught on. Too bad, because Scooter could have used a sympathetic ear. (So to speak. When they were handing out ears Gonzo was in the nose line.)
I've never watched...
I agree with you wholeheartedly, and have felt this way for years.
If word coult accurately reflected strength of convicion, I would go on for a couple of thousand words. However, you've already said it quite well.
I look forward to the day when it will no longer be acceptable to...

Outreach

It was a warm and sunny afternoon. The Great Gonzo tapped on a backstage door of a community theater house. After a pause it opened, and a young male Monster looked out and, "Oh, Gonzo! Cathy's just inside," and beckoned him in.
The monster...
ilovemusic: Thanks, glad you like my pics. I have a lot of fun drawing them, even if it sometimes makes me nuts that I don't have as much reference material as I like. I'm building up a character morgue, though. More pictures to come!
Puckrox: Wow, I'm glad you like this story so much. Heh...
*laughs* Thank you! Heh, I never can anticipate the reactions on this board. I almost cut this chapter from the outline because I thought it broke the pace just so I could point out the threads in the story to the reader. However, I decided to keep it because, well, tension-breakers can be...
Thanks. Sometimes it feels good to take a break from the drama and let the characters relax. Next chapter, titled "Outreach," coming soonish indeed.
(Note to self: write some comedy for a change!)

Kermit the Frog entered the Muppet Theater. Pops, the doorman, glanced up from his newspaper, then absently waved him through.
It was a Monday afternoon, and the Muppets were rehearsing, setting up props and costumes, and otherwise...
For a while I put this story aside, as "Trials and Tintinnabulations" took over my fic-writing energy and, well, there doesn't seem to be much interest in this tale. But, what the heck, I like this story, and I'm allergic to leaving things unfinished. So, here we go, starting with a quiet...
I've thought of Boober as Goelz using the Frank Oz throat pinch. He doesn't sound like a Kermit impression to me. Perhaps Kermit comes to mind because of the shape of what we can see of his face.
I can do an OK Mokey, and the two voices require me to do completely different things with my...
I just recently found that I can do a fairly respectable Boober Fraggle voice. But, considering my selse of humor, I'd be better off with Sidebottom.
I can also do a recognizable Cotterpin.
I can't take credit for Skeeter. That's how Amy Mebberson drew her in the "Family Reunion" arc of the TMS comic, and it looks perfect, so in my mind that's how she looks grown up.
Gotta love epic red dreads! Janken may have thought he had a nice 'do, but he has clearly been outdone.
The Wrath of Skeeter: Skeeter be trippin' over something her bro said. For an upcoming chapter of Masks.
Dang, it's hard to draw Scooter. You'd think I'd be used to drawing noseless creatures with weird hair and stuck-on eyeballs by now.
There certainly is potential in Fraggle Rock. In We Love You, Wembley the love potion had Gobo and Boober passionately in love with Wem, Boober even kissing him. When it wore off, their reaction was "Hmm, that was odd. Oh well," rather than "Eww, I was digging on a dude!" There's a strong...
'Nother couple of pics:
Bubble Bath Boober: Fraggle Rock's resident laundrophile, knows how to live it up. Warning: underneath those suds, he is absolutely naked. Are you not appalled?
Fraggle Doodles: A page full of my playing around on paper. Some thumbnails for illos for Trials and...
If your characters and title do not lead people to confuse them with the real Muppets, then I wouldn't worry about it. Nobody owns the copyright on the concept of puppet shows.
Er, I'm having a hard time picturing what you mean.
Really, the problem I'm having is not its shape so much as its texture. For some reason, it wants to come out raggedy rather than fluffy. I think I just need to figure out how to draw fluff that stands out rather than curving down.
