RedPiggy: Thanks. That was my first drawing of Boober. Well, second if you count the scribble, drawn on the back of a draft of "Masks" #11 during a party, that became this pic. Heh, to me he looks like a furry turtle.
Gonzo's Hobbit: Ya do have to love Boober when he gets all confident and...
Oh jeez louise, not another chapter of...

Meet the Muppets

It was a bright and sunny weekday afternoon at the Muppets' boarding house. They did not have a show until Friday evening, so most of the inhabitants were taking some time to relax and...
Gonzo's Hobbit: Thanks, glad you like it. Faces are my favorite thing to draw. For me, they are the focus of the picture.
Reevz1977: Wow, thank you! Coming from the perpetrator of some intensely intimidating awesomeness, that means something. :)
A few years ago I realized I wasn't watching TV any more because Cartoon Network's programming no longer interested me, and decided to pull the plug. That $50 a month now goes toward the principal balance of my mortgage. I don't miss cable, as Comcast's service was lousy and they could never...
Here's a place into which I shall plonk links to my Muppety artwork. Starting with:
Stargazing: An early pic of Gonzo & Camilla. For the story Bein' Blue.
Doodle Dump with Weirdo: playing around with Baby Gonzo's design. Drawn during a boring conference call at work.
Of Gonzos and Grouses: a...

I always comb through the DWD comics for Easter eggs like that. The character wearing the Animal shirt looks like a caricature, but I don't know who she might be.
When I write these things, I tend to picture them as if they were on film. I imagined Sam striking a profile pose after the joke about his head, but that didn't come across well in prose.
I imagine if you were familiar with a certain movie you'd have anticipated not only that the swing was...

Miss Piggy's Bad Day

The Muppets were about to begin the third and last show with their guest, MC Frontalot. They had gotten most of the glitches ironed out, so things were going smoothly now...
I'm skeptical of this. For one thing, I'd think it would be mentioned in the Muppet wikia if he had. Two, how likely is it that someone would not know Steve Whitmire's name, yet know that he "did Kermit's voice once"?
I have my own notions on Gonzo's origin, but that's for fanfic and not canon-related discussion. I'll just say that, to me, he's a Whatever. He just happens to be an alien whatever.
However, if he has to be a bird, I'd nominate the dodo. Seriously, look at one of those critters, then look...
I always go for the quirky, kinda weird characters, so Boober is my favorite. He's got some wonderful lines. After him, Wembley, partially because his face is so expressive (even if he does look like he's having a grand mal seizure when his eyes start rollin') and, well, I can identify with...
I got mine today too. And... well, after reading it I feel pretty meh. It wasn't particularly Muppety to me. I miss the Muppets being themselves, grabbing the story and running with it to the horizons the way the did in MSW. I want to like this series, but even Mebberson's lovely art can't...
Yeah. Me again. Here's another flippin' dose of

Interlude

The next morning Gonzo was still feeling unhappy and worried about his former foster mother's visit. He didn't want to talk with anyone about it; he feared that if he dredged up more memories of...
They were either Chinese or Japanese--the two languages share a lot of ideograms--and most of the time they were mirror-imaged. But maybe that's proper for Mock Japanese.
