I don't know, Dot is an aggressive businesswoman and Mokey is a dreamy free spirit. I do have a mashup idea for Mokey in mind, but it ain't ReBoot. Maybe I'll draw it tonight.
Wembley would make a dandy Enzo, especially to Guardian Gobo. That flying tackle...
Glad you like him. I thought of doing Glitch Boober, but for that I'd have to cover him up in pots and pans. He'd collapse under the weight.
There are several DVD releases coming up. If you're like me and already have seasons 3 and 4 on DVD, you can order seasons 1 and 2 from Amazon, $20...
I'm back. Didja miss me?
Guardian BOoBer: a ReBoot/Fraggle Rock mashup, done on a dare for a ReBoot message board.
Raggle Fraggle Doodle Dumpling: Yet another Fraggle-centric doodle dump. Most of it is inspirational thumbnails for a story I'm currently writing, "Commonplace Miracles."...
In the FR episode Gunge the Great and Glorious, Gunge sings:
No one knows how great I am,
'Cause no one gives a good door slam
That's a pretty obvious euphemism in the second line, and mentally I heard the words the euphemism stood for. However, if I'd watched this as a kid I'd have taken...
I don't have all of the songs, sadly. I have the three CDs, but that's only about a third of the songs. I found a website that had a lot of 'em for download, but the quality was painfully poor. So, here are my playlist favorites, in no particular order, with my top faves boldfaced:
Let Me...
In another case on the same show, the censors would not let Bob say "hockey," because they claimed it was slang for... a mixture of, um, secretions and metabolic byproducts. Okay, how many of you knew that the word hockey ever had that meaning? But then, these are the same censors who would...
There's "The Secret Origins of Darkwing Duck," Which is a story told to futuristic "Gosaloid" and "Honkulon" by a janitor who looks a lot like an elderly Darkwing Duck. It's also one of Negaduck's multiple origins.
Although this origin plainly isn't meant to be taken seriously, the writers...
Windswept Fraggle: I just came off an intense session of Silent hill 2: Born from a Wish, and needed to draw something silly and easy to detoxify. So, here's Janken posing for a photo to send back home. It's plain he's vain about that mane of his, so it would pain me to rain on his sunny day...
Heh, Red has a way of getting on people's nerves every so often, and since she and Boober are such opposites... but by the time of this story it's been going on that it's taken as normal. Squabbles get forgiven and forgotten very quickly. Plus, I think that even Red would think it worth the...
Heh, he's supposed to look weird in that pic. That's why (in my stories) he covers his eyes; he doesn't like people staring at him like "What happened to you?"
Cel shading is the flat style of shading I used in that pic, as opposed to the more rounded technique I normally use.
Mad as a Wet Fraggle: Because I really wanted to draw the scene in which Boober cusses Red out in Red Versus Blue. I was experimenting a bit with this picture. One, I was playing with cel shading rather than my usual airbrushy approach. Verdict: cel shading is no flippin' easier, and in fact...
I just looked at the picture again, and realized what was weird about Wembley. I colored in the ink outlines to give the drawing a softer feel, but left the lines around the eyes black. With Janken and Poncle that wasn't a problem, as there are other colors around Poncle's face, and Janken is...
I'd be interested in joining this. Heh, it'd be fun to RP as Janken, if the rules permit. I haven't RPed in years, but it's always fun to put on a different personality and hang out. And he already has a job that doesn't overlap anyone else's.
If Wembley looks odd because he appears grown up, then good. Well, him appearing older, not appearing odd. These stories are set many years after FR, and in fact Janken is Wembley's son. Wembley always seemed to be the baby of the bunch, and looked like he had some more growing to do, so in...
Nuts. I thought I could just edit my last post to include this one, but I guess my time expired. Oh well.
When All Else Fails, Look Cute: a followup to Fraggle Fu. This doesn't actually happen in the story, but it was fun to draw. Hours after drawing it I realized that I had Poncle pulling a...
Fraggle Fu?: Okay, not really. Janken and Wembley facing off during the game of Tail Tag in Red Versus Blue. Poncle has her own ideas. She's one of those little kids who gets away with ignoring the rules 'cause she's cute. You know the type, I'm sure.
Is it my imagination, or does...
And now, as threatened, here is...
Masks, Part 18:
The Outtake Reel
by Kim McFarland
*****
Chapter 2:
[Scooter looks at a long list of names and telephone numbers on a clipboard. Most of them have X marks by them. He calls one that is not marked off yet.]
Scooter: Hello, I'm Scooter...
Y'welcome. It didn't really fit into this story, but I thought it was cute enough to use somehow. I'll leave it up to the alert reader to figure out how they got Kermit to okay that act in the first place. ;)
PS: After writing this story, I've truly come to appreciate that Scooter wink icon.
