Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
MST3K 20th Anniversary Edition Set - Because I've been actively searching for MST3K box sets and this was the first I was able to find (and it had my favorite episode, Werewolf, in it).
And, throught DMR:
Geppetto - Because I'm a fan of odd musicals (although there were a few places that...
I normally don't bother with TV on DVD either, unless it's a show that isn't shown anymore (e.g. MST3K, Alf, The Muppet Show).
However, I'm too big of a Futurama fan to pass up the episode commentaries, so I might wait to see if they do a complete season release (HA!) or wait until my local...
Whoa, that was fast. :(
I kinda expected them to wait and release the entire production season on DVD at once.
Oh, well. Good news, everyone! We'll be getting Drtooth's opinion sooner than I anticipated! :D
EDIT: $40 SRP? For 13 episodes! What a ripoff! I hope that my local retailers go...
The Black Cauldron - Because I've been interested in seeing it for a while now. Mostly to see if it's really as dark as its reputation makes it out to be or if it's just been blown out of proportion.
And I didn't really buy these, but I'm waiting on them from Disney Movie Rewards:
Ducktales...
I signed up for that yesterday (hoping that I had enough point codes to get Legend) and discovered that it's only available in a two pack with a DVD that's already in general retail (Donald in Mathmagic Land)! It irks me, but I'm not entirely sure why.
I remember seeing it's Wikipedia article...
Scooby-Doo: Camp Scare - I was impressed enough with the fresh approach they took in Abracadabra-Doo that I decided to renew interest in the DTV Scooby movies. I was not disappointed (the plot twist was GENIUS!).
Dracula: The Legacy Collection - Which has taught me not to buy used and/or...
I liked Recess: School's Out and Teacher's Pet, too (The only opportunity I had to watch Legend of the Lost Lamp, however, was soiled by a power outage :grouchy:(still can't find it on DVD)).
They ARE making a P&F movie, though, unfortunately, the financial failure of other similar movies has...
I thought that was a good one, too. Even though it was just a DTV release that they bumped to theatrical status in some convoluted plot to cash in on the popularity of The Rugrats Movie. (Still prefer Nick's Doug, though)
Back on point:
Dracula: Dead and Loving It - Sure it was no Young...
I couldn't find any other one, which is why I started this one.
Maybe I didn't look carefully enough. :search:
As for the last book I bought, it was Heroes of the Valley by Jonathan Stroud because it was the only thing that caught my eye at Borders. :D
