That's about what the film is worth to me. Even less actually. I've seen the VHS tape of the film for 1.00 at billions of thrift stores, but I refuse to buy it, heck I'd rather buy an extra copy of MCT, at least that didn't turn the muppets into Elmo World's.
Well finally after a week or two of no foriegn box office updates we now know that MMW has moved from its former $20.3 million former total to a $27 million foriegn total boosting its worlwide total to $77 million. At this point the film needs $23 million more to push its worldwide total past...
Not close to the subject, but did anyone hear about this http://en.mediamass.net/people/frank-oz/deathhoax.html ? So morronic that someone would do this, but at least this lead to Oz getting into Star Magazine. Happy Birthday Frank Oz, hope this...
Really, stupid NY Times! Anyway does it really matter? What matters is the profit. Here are the statistics for the original muppet movie trilogy
TMM: Gross: $65 mil. Budget: $8 mil. Profit: $57 mil. ($150+ mil. in 2014 $)
I don't know about the NY times, but that's a...
Thanks. and it's funny that I have back-to-back birthdays with Frank Oz, because tomorrow is his birthday, I think he turns 68 or 70. :o :halo: :attitude: :( :insatiable::super:
Gosh that was a good special, I wish I had cable so I could have watched it in a TV atmosphere, but still really cool. It's not like we learned anything new, but with these documentaries, it's cool to see the interpretation the company makes of the muppets. Though why were TMM and GMC listed as...
Again, utterly no point in buying it unless you really just want it part of your Blu-Ray collection! But, KSY isn't even really a muppet movie it's meant for Elmo viewers.
MFS flopped for a few reasons. First, it got mixed reviews, well let me clear that up, its R.T. rating currently is 63% which is a fresh rating (barely), but a lot of the fresh reviews come from 1/1/2000, so at the time the film was actually in theaters it had probably a rotten rating of 40-50%...
Honestly, what's the point of buying it, first KSY wasn't exactly a great film, secondly Columbia's too lazy to add any bonus features, so you're getting the same film with double the price and even worse a bunch of new commercials at the beginning, if anything you'll be doing yourself a...
Well, that gives me a bit hope, but there were many territories it entered on Apr. 11 and May 1, but there was barely any boost in foreign grosses, but ya it should at least muster $50 million at the foreign BO to push the worldwide total slightly past the $100 million mark.
Well it's kinda sad that MMW made a mere $20.3 million, I mean you'd expect that a sequel would make more or somewhat as much as the last film's foreign total.
