There's a lot I have to say on the topic, but one thing I'll put out there is, if you're not going to add any special features to a new release, then why yank some out? For example, here's the 2002 DVD release for MTI special features list.

Hmm, I thought that was one of the best episodes. Anyways, does it seem odd that in the Zero Mostel episode that he doesn't once interact with Kermit. But, the backstage plot really helps that episode shine.
I hope so, though maybe, but it intrigues me that Rizzo would get a whole bonus feature to himself when he only had one line in the movie, I guess it'll make up for his lack of screen time.
Actually MMW eased 31% this weekend to a total of $134,741 in its 11th weekend. Now the film has a total of $50,646,206. Hopefully it can pass $51 million before the end, heck better than the drop from smurfs 1 to smurfs 2 or even TMM to GMC.
Wait a minute, does anyone know what the special features are for the 2003 DVD release of the film? Anyways, I bought this masterpiece tv movie (in my opinion), and I'm still throughly pleased. I love how it's in widescreen, and not too shabby with the special features, I mean they could have...
If a bonus is not related to the feature itself on a DVD or Blu-Ray then it's just pointless consumerism for the company's other franchises. It's like if Sony made another Blu-Ray for The Muppets Take Manhattan, and added a special feature, and it was a smurfs short.
Well, ya Disney kind of over-did advertising. I mean just 1 toyota commercial during the super bowl, and lipton tea during the oscars was quite enough to get people on the road, as well as advertisements for the film every now and then, but they totally over-killed with the billions of shows...
Look the point is, no matter how many stars, a future TMS episode had, first do you think all those people would agree to star (lucille ball especially) and ya most would, but could they really keep it fresh, they'd probably resort to repeating sketches like SS, and the writers would resort to...
I know, it kind of bums me out sometimes when we have to leave such a good backstage plot for the guest star number, as much as I love that too, I want more devolpment too, that's why I liked MT a lot, because well ya they fawned over the guest stars, but they also had longer backstage scenes.
As we watch shows like the simpsons, modern family, or even something like SS we sigh thinking how the show is now a shadow of its glorious past, but would that happen to TMS if there was a season 6,7,8,9,or even 10? I mean there are only so many guest stars and sketches they could continue to...
Have a tape, I found it in a thrift store, but I didn't really know what it was, but I got it anyway. I think it's an okay/good video, I mean I've only watched it twicem in the nearly 1 year time-span that I've owned it, so I'm not too fond of it, it's decent, but I wish there were more central...

It's kind of a shame this film sucks considering the rich juicy special features it has
Commentary with Kermit and Horace
Behind the Scenes Featurette
On the Set with Kermit
Blooper Reel
Yet all we can see for GMC is a stupid pepe interview and frog-e-oke at best.
