This is the confusing part. The film WAS advertised a lot, I mean the TWC commercials were all over the place, so there's really no excuse for this film to turn into a KFP 2 scenario. So in the end, I mean well, maybe it was TOO soon for HTTYD 3. Anyways, CG animation has gotten bleak.
Pixar =...
After How to Train Your Dragon 2's weak debut last weekend, there was a hope that the well-reviewed movie would perform similar to its predecessor: slow out of the gate, but leggy in the long-run. Unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case this time around. The animated sequel fell 49...
I'm also on the fence with the film. After watching the teaser, I like how even though it's CG they're making it more like the Charlie Brown look which is good, and second the voice actor behind Charlie Brown is the best I've heard in a long while, and is Snoopy's voice dubbed, because if it...
You know at the end of the day, there isn't too much to complain about for MFS. I think its a good legitimate family film. We can't compare it to TMM or GMC no way at all, but for a stand-alone family comedy, it's really good. If you don't like the film watch it with commentary if you have the...
Well, so MMW passed $51 million today with $51,026,579. It's not going to make much more than that, so I guess domestic total discussions are more or less over. BUT WHY WON'T IT GROSS IN THE FOREIGN BOX OFFICE!!!!!!!!!??? THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING, WHY CAN'T IT MAKE MORE THAN $27 MILLION!? I don't...
I'll need to get used to it, but for now it seems legitimate. As of now the "save draft" feature is something I like, because if I don't finish my post, I can just save and write more later, helps with fan-fics. Anyways, I just learned that I can't go more than a day without posting here, I...
Look the "Dragon" franchise is one of the most beloved of all animated movies. The first dragon film could be mistaken for a pixar film with its 98% RT rating and its $217 million domestic gross. The fact that the still 92% fresh sequel could only manage an opening weekend $7 million more than...
I think that will always be a running gag in the muppet franchise, I mean I doubt they'll ever make it happen, and it'd be kind of annoying to incorporate another wedding in a muppet movie.
Hopefully it can at least end its run with a $50 million foriegn total to at least get a $100 million final worldwide total, I mean come on $78 million worldwide is really bleak considering that the last film made more than that at the domestic box office alone.
I know, that's not going to do it any good. I thought it was going to be out like late 2015, but barely a few months in advance releasing a weird trailer is not good. It just looks like one of those billions of DTV penguin specials.
So all we can really expect for MMW is a $51 million domestic total, but if the film opens in Brazil June 26 than maybe we'll have more than $27 million in the foreign market. Honestly, however much some people on this forum are disappointed about MMW's domestic total, I'm far more disappointed...
Awesome! Why watch fireworks when you have muppets :). Hope to see Sam and Crazy Harry their too, :attitude: for patriotism and :crazy: to launch the fireworks.
I get your drift. Anyways it actually made $49,451,323 so this is closer to KFP 2 than a blockbuster film. Better than 22, which made $57 mil. and not $60 mil., pretty weak estimates this weekend. Anyways, here look at the first dragon's gross patterns.
Mar 26–28 1 $43,732,319 - 4,055 -...
Haven't seen a thread like this anywhere, so I made it. There have been many muppet movies with action scenes, but then again not all of them do, TMM, MTM, and MCC. Though what is the all-time best action scene of them all?
P.S. The poll has a closing date, because there'll most likely be more...
Ok fine sheesh, not a fail, but in the long-run will it really hold up as well as the first Dragon? That film's opening weekend was a mere 20% of its final total. Biggest shot dragon has is to make like $180 million, so I'm just saying, considering both films are rotten tomatoes hits (both 90%+)...
