Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Well, liked the nod to "Sam and Friends", and the frog and the pig's version of "This Land is Your Land", and Piggy as the statue of liberty (and how she fell on a bunch of troops :0), but to me "Rainbow Connection" seemed a little fast-paced and flat, no offense, but still worse watching...
Well, look the bottom line is, I doubt he even knew those characters EXISTED! The fact that
Afghan Hound
Andy and Randy
Sam and Friends (Harry the Hipster, Yorick, and Sam)
Angel Marie
Angus McGonagle
appeared in the book was enough of a homage to fans
You know this is quite off-topic (sorry about that), but the jim henson's creature shop show has made brian henson so popular that if you type in "bri" on google, the first thing that comes up is literally "brian henson", that's better than JIM!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also thought someone could have transcribed it, but you can't imagine how long that would take. It took me 30 minutes to transcribe my minute and a half youtube video, so eh.
Well, it's nice to see that Disney has already begun blu-ray promotion. Last night at 10:00pm while watching Seinfeld (on my13 KCOP) there was the piggy's pistachio commercial, but at the end it said, MMW on blu-ray aug. 12. Then at the 10:30pm seinfeld the same commercial popped up.
Wow such an awesome tribute to my second favorite muppet! It's sad there are no clips from VMX, MTM, or MFS, because disney doesn't own those films, but he didn't do much in MTM and I don't think looking at a woman's stomach is patriotic, so who cares. It's also cool how they have all those old...
Anyways yesterday Earth to Echo made $2.6 million, so ya just pathetic (not oz or oogieloves pathetic, but it's still bad), anyways with planes what's sad is that there's a ripoff of the ripoff!
the animation is about as good as jay jay the jet plane, but at least its dtv, seems like there's...
Anyone know the budget for that "Earth to Echo" film? I just know that film is going to end up being one of those sci-fi bombs that get mediocre reviews (54% on rotten tomatoes) and just fail on so many levels.
You know that "Oz" film really should have been a DTV film, maybe it could have...
Well, that may be true, but in the end its all about the budget. If a film makes $600 million at the domestic box office and it has a $700 million budget than it flopped, but if a film makes $10 million at the box office and it had a $1 million budget then time to order the sequel. With that...
Here are some pictures to help with muppet heights.
So we can all see that Kermit is like a foot shorter than fozzie or even more, hmm, always thought he was only a head shorter, seems like fozzie's one of the taller muppets.
Well, the piggy puppet isn't as tall as we think, probably...
Planes 1 had like a $50 million budget, so making $90 million was pretty successful for the film + all the money from merchandise. Though, I'm pretty sure Planes 2 was made a while back and meant as a DTV sequel, but NO they release that too, and I hope it bombs and Disney learns its lesson...
