    The "You know what?" thread

Right. In the video, Zappa said "Reagan is an actor, and he should stick to acting." Similarly, Trump has been a businessman all his life, and so I think he should stay with that. Of course I'm not a famous person like Zappa, but that's just my opinion. Oh yeah, and the gun rights issue freaks...

    The "You know what?" thread

That's all hypothetical at this point. I can't say for sure. No one knows who else might have been involved with this mayhem. But like you, I am pretty worried about our government, economy, racial issues, and public education...what does he think he's going to do in the upcoming future? He...

    The "You know what?" thread

More allegations about Trump & his "dealings" with Russia, before he's even been sworn in. A large part of me says, "He is NOT fit to be President at all because he is inexperienced with politics, doesn't connect with the youth of America, and lacks moral decency. It won't be long before he's...

The 'What Song Are You Currently Listening To?' Thread

I prefer this version over Three Dog Night's for three reasons. 1) I heard this one long before 3DN's; 2) the arrangement is better; and 3) the Muppet jug band and those Paul Williams lookalikes seal the deal.

    Marilyn Sokol appreciation thread

That's been one of my favorite SS songs ever since I found the original Monsters album nearly twenty years ago. Years later when I found this video on YouTube, it really sealed the deal for me. It goes from an innocent song into an all-out blues number. Although Marilyn Sokol rocks it here, I...

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Leonard Cohen passed away this year, and he composed "Hallelujah." So even though the song itself doesn't have much to do with Christmas, the timing of his passing coincides with the holiday season. Plus, a lot of holiday music is very emotional, so "Hallelujah" seems to fit into that category.

    Jesse's Girl (A 1990s SST Fan Fiction)

CHAPTER 3 Across town, Jesse continued his shift at the library. Things were going surprisingly well with Linda, even though he just couldn’t seem to think straight. Bob and Celina entered the library and greeted Jesse and Linda, who were helping a child find a book in the catalog. “Hi...

Video: Pigs in Space “The Gravity of the Situation”

It was when Piggy called Link and Strangepork "total asteroids." A euphemism for A-holes, I suppose.

    Michael Caine Interview About MCC

I can't think of anyone who has ever said they hated working with the Muppets. Even back in the early days of Sesame Street and the Muppet Show, people like Harry Belafonte, Carol Burnett, Madeline Kahn, and John Denver loved the Muppets and went on to become close friends with Jim Henson...

Video: Pigs in Space “The Gravity of the Situation”

This one was good...didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the first one. Matt keeps getting better and better with each episode, though. He has big shoes to fill with Jerry's characters like Floyd Pepper, Uncle Deadly, Robin, and Pops; and I really think his voices for Dr. Strangepork and the...

The... -wait fer it-... "What made you laugh today?" Thread

Man...the Swedish Chef makes me laugh, too! The first skit I ever saw was "Chickee in der Baskee" from the Raquel Welch episode (I was probably five years old). It was on the More Muppet Please home video. Rolled on the floor laughing at that one, especially when he bounced the chicken like a...

Video: Pigs in Space “Alien: Look Who's Coming to Dinner”

Good video overall! I was weirded out by Pepe emerging from Link's stomach, but the jokes were pretty funny. Definitely more adult-oriented than anything the Muppets have done in recent years. I do hope that we get more Pigs in Space installments soon. Come to think of it, it wouldn't be a bad...

One of Frank Zappa's greatest hits, and one of his "cleaner" songs. Today marks 23 years since his untimely passing at the age of 53. RIP Mr. Zappa.

TV Alert: Sesame Street at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

I was disappointed that the classic human actors weren't on the Sesame Street float. Alan and Nina were the sole cast members present...no Gordon, Susan, Luis or Bob...not even Gina, Gabi, or Chris. At least I saw Herry Monster on the float, and I've heard he may be returning to the show. So...

TV Alert: The Muppets at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

I missed most of the Muppets' opening number, but I saw the Electric Mayhem performance. They killed it! Hopefully I can see the full Muppets' song in a few days.

    Anything Muppet Appreciation Thread

Not sure if anyone's brought this up, but c'mon...this is one of the best segments I've ever seen on Sesame Street. Featuring some familiar Anything Muppets such as Prairie Dawn, Roosevelt Franklin, Farley, Mr. Johnson, etc.
