The “What did you do today?” thread

I'll be playing percussion instruments and keyboards for both shows. Sorry for the late reply, I meant to get back to you sooner. There are 22 musicians (including myself) in the West Side Story orchestra, and 13 for Seussical. It's going to be cramped, but fun nonetheless!

    Memorable guest star moments

Two absolute classics with Grover, from 1973 and 1977. I also thought of two segments with Elmo (circa 1988-91).

    Sesame Street Old School Outlines

Thank you very much @muppetgem ! I usually don't get written feedback from other users, so it's nice to see that people enjoy what I write. I want to restate something I told @sesamemuppetfan a while ago on this thread: "I own the SS Old School 1 & 2 DVD sets and have watched them multiple...

    Little things we've noticed

Look closely above Betty Lou's head and Ernie's shoulder in this classic SS photo. Is that whitish thing a human hand holding up one of the puppets?? I just noticed it from Tough Pigs' most recent article. Kinda ruins this picture for me a bit to be honest.

The “What did you do today?” thread

Any Steely Dan fans out there? I watched this TV special from 2000 and it's pretty awesome. There's a tight rhythm section, a smooth horn section, and a smoking trio of backing singers (in more ways than one). Many hits like "Peg" and newer songs like "What a Shame About Me." Plus, some wry...

I sure do miss Sesame Street of the 90s

In my opinion, the 1990s were pretty good for SS. The cast and puppeteers were very seasoned by this point (e.g. Bob McGrath and Caroll Spinney), and there was new talent as well (e.g. Annette Calud and Savion Glover). As mentioned, there was a good blend of modern cartoons and old-school...

The “What did you do today?” thread

I listened to the soundtracks from West Side Story and Seussical. I'm going to be working as a musician for a local theater company this summer, and they're performing these shows in July and August. It is an honor and pleasure for me to do this...there's nothing I love more than making music...
